Here are a few Lifestyle Medicine-inspired weekend tips to support your digestion:

🌿 Start your morning with water before coffee. Hydration helps keep digestion moving.

đŸ„— Aim for fiber, but don’t overdo it all at once. Beans, veggies, whole grains, and fruit are wonderful—but a sudden huge increase can create more gas and bloating.

đŸš¶ Take a gentle walk after meals. Even 10–15 minutes of movement can support motility and reduce that overly full feeling.

😌 Notice stress and pace. Eating quickly, multitasking, or staying in “go mode” can affect digestion more than many people realize.

đŸœïž Don’t skip meals to “save up” for a big one. That often leads to overeating later, which can make bloating worse.

Digestive symptoms are information. If bloating keeps showing up or feels like it’s getting in the way of your daily life, it may be time to look deeper.

Fermented foods can be a simple, delicious way to support good health. 🌿

Foods like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, miso, tempeh, and kombucha contain beneficial microbes and compounds that may help support digestion, gut diversity, immune function, and even the way your body processes nutrients.

But gut health isn’t about one “magic” food. It’s about consistency, variety, and finding what works for your body. For some people, fermented foods feel great. For others—especially those dealing with bloating, reflux, IBS, histamine sensitivity, or other digestive concerns—they may need to be introduced slowly or with more guidance.

Start small. Try a spoonful of sauerkraut with a meal, a few bites of kimchi, or a serving of yogurt or kefir. Your gut often responds best to gentle, steady support rather than extremes.

Food can be powerful medicine when it’s personalized, practical, and sustainable.

Constipated, bloated, or dealing with urgent bowel symptoms?

It’s easy to brush changes in digestion off as “just aging,” but your body may be trying to tell you something important.

Bowel symptoms can be connected to so much more than food alone—hydration, hormones, stress, medications, pelvic floor function, gut motility, and your nervous system can all play a role.

In my new blog, I’m sharing why constipation, bloating, urgency, and unpredictable bowel habits deserve a closer look—and why you don’t have to accept daily discomfort as your new normal.

The number one secret to gut health is fiber!

Fiber helps:
✅Feed your healthy gut bacteria
✅Support digestion
✅Balance blood sugar
✅Keep you feeling full for longer

Most people aren’t getting enough - and your gut may be trying to tell you!

Try adding more fruits, veggies, beans, seeds, and whole foods into your day!

When it comes to gut health and bloating, it can be incredibly frustrating to feel like you’ve tried everything and still don’t have answers.

Maybe you’ve changed your diet, added supplements, cut things out, tried to “eat clean,” or been told everything looks normal
but you still feel bloated, uncomfortable, constipated, reactive to foods, or unsure what your body needs.

That’s when it may be time for a different approach.

In an integrative consultation, we can look at the bigger picture—your digestion, nutrition, stress, hormones, medications, lifestyle, symptoms, and what your body may be trying to tell you.

Bloating is not always just about food. And gut health is rarely solved by one-size-fits-all advice.

If you’re ready to look deeper, use the link in my bio to book an integrative consultation.

Weekend reminder: chronic fatigue support is not just staying in bed all weekend.

Rest matters, but recovery often needs a little more intention. If you’re dealing with ongoing fatigue, try using the weekend to gently support your body instead of pushing hard or completely crashing.

A few ideas:

Get morning light before screens.
Eat steady, nourishing meals instead of skipping and relying on caffeine.
Move gently if it feels supportive — a walk, stretching, or light mobility counts.
Build in real quiet time without multitasking.
Keep your sleep and wake times somewhat consistent.
Say no to one thing that would overextend you.
Notice what actually helps you feel restored.

Chronic fatigue is your body asking for support, not another reason to judge yourself.

If you’re tired of feeling tired, schedule an integrative consult using the link in my bio.
