Yin Toolkit 2026 - A Journey Through the Five Elements & Five Archetypes of the Soul

Autumn Yin Toolkit for Metal Season
October 25th
3 - 5:30p
Belmont Location

The Power of Surrender: Walking the Path of the Ancestor Sage

Learn to let go, return to what’s true, and move through life with clarity, grace, and strength.

Autumn invites us into one of life’s most profound—and often most difficult—practices: letting go. As the natural world releases what it no longer needs, Metal season reminds us that life is not only about growth and expansion. There is also a necessary movement toward refinement, surrender, and returning to what is essential.

In this workshop, we will explore the Metal Element and the archetype of the Ancestor Sage: the wise one who, through loss and lived experience, has discovered that surrender is not defeat but freedom. The Ancestor Sage understands that impermanence is not simply something to grieve, but something that can deepen our appreciation for what is precious and reveal what truly matters. Across many cultures, autumn is traditionally a time to honor our ancestors and open to their wisdom and guidance.

In this 2½-hour workshop, we’ll explore what it means to release and make space physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. You’ll leave with a practical toolkit of poses, acupressure points, breath practices, and reflections you can return to throughout the autumn season. More than that, you’ll leave with a new relationship to letting go, one that feels less like loss and more like coming home to what is true and essential.

This workshop is especially supportive if you are moving through any kind of loss, transition, or ending, or if you simply long to reconnect with hope, meaning, and trust in life. No prior experience with yin yoga or Chinese Medicine is needed. All you need to bring is a willingness to slow down and listen.

$55 for each individual workshop. Autopay and Annual Members receive 20% off each individual workshop.

Mahātmā Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869. It is no surprise that someone who dedicated their life to social justice was a Libra.

Although Gandhi was human and thus made his own mistakes, he is reminder what a single human can inspire millions of people across the planet and spanning generations to courageously stand up and nonviolently resist that which is unjust.

His mission was satyāgraha or “truth force,” a nonviolent civil resistance movement in a struggle for India’s independence from colonial rule.

The important and often overlooked piece of Gandhi’s mission was that on an individual level, a radical transformation of the soul needs to take place for lasting social change to occur.

He said himself that he thought of himself as “weak” and “below average” as a youth. But witnessing injustice ignited his inner fire and he took action to tend to his interiority to guide his action in the outer world.

Radical transformation is available both individually and collectively if we choose to step on the path. The world needs our courage, focus, and dedication to balance the scales of justice. ⚖️

The Six Healing Sounds: A Gentle Introduction to Qi Gong

4-week course (attendance at all sessions is encouraged but not required)

Fridays: October 2nd - 23rd
9 - 10:15am at the WOODSTOCK Studio

Discover the Six Healing Sounds, a qi gong practice using sound and breath to regulate your organs and work with the five elements. This four-week course is a gentle introduction to qi gong — no experience needed. Each sound rides out on the exhale, helping you release what’s stagnant and return to balance.

What is Qi Gong?
Qi gong is an all-encompassing practice that engages the imagination and follows the laws of nature as a living teacher. In class, expect practices that blend structure with that same spirit of inquiry — rooted in tradition, but alive and responsive in the moment.

Led by Sweethome Teacup
I’ve been studying qi gong since 2015, drawing from a range of teachers and traditions rather than a single lineage — Taoist five element practice, medical qi gong, and shamanic qi gong all shape how I teach.

When?
Friday, October 2nd
Friday, October 9th
Friday, October 16th
Friday, October 23rd

Cost: Join with the discounted Woodstock drop-in rate of $11/class. Members can attend using their membership.

Want to register for all 4? You can do this by signing up for each individual class using the links above OR send us an email using the button below and we can register you in all 4 and charge your card on file.
