~ Yoga, Ayurveda, Nutrition ~ Just plain tired.

Hey there fearless go-getter! Thanks for stopping by my page! I bet if your here your story will have many similarities to mine! Years ago I had a breakdown in my car. I was tired of my average, so-so life. Tired of feeling like I was constantly quitting. Tired of having ideas but no knowledge about how to put those ideas into action. Tired and stuck. So stupidly stuck in my head, in life, in tox

ic relationships, in let downs and failures. I made a deal with myself that I was going to pick two goals to accomplish over the next year. Just two. I promised myself that I would find those goals, get fired up about them, and make them a reality. Following through to the very end and beyond. Flash forward two years: I am a completely different woman. Reaching that point in my life made me realize that settling for my dream life was not okay. REFUSE to settle. REFUSE to live a life that is not your dream life. Inspired by others, motivated by fitness, calmed through yoga and fueled through quality nutrition, I am on my way to living that dream life. Follow me through my journey and stay tuned for personalized one on one coaching programs to come soon!

30.
A number I never thought I’d get to. Not because I thought I would die before I got here, but because I never thought it would happen to me. Thirty was this mythical realm of life that just wasn’t in my plan. I never thought, or really felt, past 29, so the reality of turning thirty was incredibly difficult for me. For the last few years I have broken down personal and societal pressures of what, where, and who I should be in this life so in the week leading up to my birthday - this wasn’t where the struggle lived.
The challenge existed in the mourning of a chapter of my life. A chapter that drove curiosity, adventure, bravery, exploration, and albeit impulsiveness and blind leaps of faith. A chapter of independence and naïveté. A chapter that at the moment of turning 30 felt like the doors officially closed. Whatever I did or didn’t do in those years is now done. The day dreaming about the magic that will take place in my 20’s is officially irrelevant to the future.
People often ask if you feel different after you’ve made your latest trip around the sun. Normally the answer is no. How could one day make you feel any different than the day before. Never have I ever felt a real shift in my body or spirit like I have on this birthday. Mourning the past chapter while coincidently experiencing the rebirth of a new spirit is transformative. I feel like a new me has arrived and like life is just beginning.
For my 30th I wanted to capture as much of this process as I could. Who I am, truly and deeply at this exact moment in time- flaws and all. I’m so grateful that one of my dearest friends was, without question, down to help me document this person - in all of her strength, bravery, self doubt, insecurities, trauma, healing, and passion.
She is beautiful.
She is me.
She is thirty 😏
I am so grateful I was able to fully feel the gravity of this life change in all its challenges and rewards. My heart and mind now open to this new chapter of self exportation, bravery, love, adventure, and expansiveness.
Beyond grateful to my incredible partner who truly made this one special (who makes everyday special) and to all of my friends who showed me the love.
✌🏻 ❤️‍🔥 ✨

Oh what a journey it’s been. One year ago today I ate coconut cake with my favorite girl and drove me, Brodee and all of my possessions away from the place I truly “grew up”to make a new home. One year and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I took these photos on my travels out to the west coast. Just me, my boy and my camera. I will never forget that trip and these photos that are so incredible special to me. A one year reminder to never be afraid to go after what you want, to make it happen at all costs, to follow your heart and intuition and to capture every moment. Cheers to one year and to new adventures.

Over the last few weeks I have been participating in a mental/emotional boot camp program to workout my mind, like I work out my body.
This program is all about identifying and calling out the negative thoughts that ruminate in your precious brain space (sabotage you) and hold you back from reaching your highest potential. All the while re-wiring neural pathways so that the you can intercept the sabotaging thoughts and replace them with truths, loving and positive thoughts (sage mindset).

This daily practice has really let me see:
1. How hard and judgmental I am towards myself, my worth, and my self worth
2. How much meditation and daily awareness practices can alter the circuitry of my brain
3. True beliefs in all of the great things I am
4. How much my mental/emotional health impacts my physical health.

Mental health, emotional health, spiritual health, and physical health are all daily practices and are all important and necessary in order to be your best, brightest, highest self.

In honor of my personal progress and in honor of the beautiful beings around me, I propose this challenge.

Try it: “No matter… fill what makes you feel judged by yourself or others… I am…
Fill in all the TRUTHS about your badass magical self.

Tag some other magical beings 🦄 and share the love.

I’ll go first.
No matter my size, my accomplishment, my health or how much $$$ I have I am…

One year ago today I touched down in Portland to spend 9 days with you after barely talking to you for 6 years.

Clearly you were a good tour guide ;)

Shout out to this man who has loved me and put up with me for a whole year. I am so grateful for you and all of the little things you do to show me every day how much you love me.
10 years of knowing you and one year of loving you. Who would have thunk your crush ten years ago would turn into the most amazing friendship, partnership and relationship I could ever ask for.
Thank you for always believing in me and us and buying me food when I am hungry.

I love you more.

Hi! I’m Ashley and I know what’s it’s like first hand to be in the thickets of “unwell-ness” that feels overwhelming and as though it came out of nowhere. It’s frustrating and can definitely feel like your body is letting you down, leaving you to feel defeated and hopeless.

The good news is, you’re not hopeless, your body is not betraying you - it’s actually playing momma bear, doing everything kit can and knows what to do in order to get you to STOP and heal what’s in need of healing.

One of the tools that has drastically helped me to understand my body better and to continue on my healing journey is my Ayurvedic practice.

My specialty in Ayurveda focuses on improving gut health, restoring the nervous system [aka stress reduction ;)] and supporting women’s health.

If you’re looking to optimize your health and are feeling like you might need support in any of the above 👆 areas- send me a message for a complimentary consultation!

Healing is possible.
Health is accessible.
The journey is now.

A peony for my thoughts:

My hair isn’t perfect.
My smile isn’t perfect.
My body isn’t perfect.
I am not perfect.

And that’s perfect - right where I am is perfectly exactly where I need to be.
Learning to deeply love myself and all that that entails.

You are perfect and right where you need to be.

Never forget that the journey you’re one is YOUR journey. No one can tell you it’s imperfect. No one can tell you it’s wrong. No one can take it from you.

Embrace it. Love it. Trust it.
