Sims & Associates Podiatry is proud to continue to treat Marist University athletes. Our relationship goes back almost 50 years with treating high level players and trying to get them back to their sport as quickly and safely as possible.
Dr. Lew Sims was able to catch up this weekend with Rik Smits.

We are super excited that Dr Renee Sliva, DPM has joined Sims & Associates Podiatry… and has started to see patients here.
After many years of practicing in Rockland County, Dr Sliva has brought her knowledge, talent, and experience to us.
She will be seeing patients in both our Fishkill and Poughkeepsie offices. She will also be seeing in-patient consults at both Mid Hudson Regional and Vassar Brothers Hospitals.
Our practice has continued to grow throughout the years because of the continued support and trust we have received from our community.
We will continue to provide the most comprehensive, advanced podiatric care in this area; with a personal and individual touch. You will continue to see the compassionate and well-rounded nonsurgical and surgical care we provide, with another high quality podiatrist.

When your culture is amazing, and everyone on the team is genuinely so happy for the person moving on to pursue her goals.... even if that means losing one of their co-workers. It says a lot about the people in our organization.
Robin, our honorary baker, made some amazing cupcakes to sweeten the bittersweet moments (in recognition of Gillian's acceptance to Podiatry school)

Super proud of Gillian, who came to us via a Marist University internship a few years ago, anticipating she would go on to PA school.
After spending a semester with our practice, she became so interested in Podiatry, she changed her mind and her career path. Now she has spent her gap year with us, continuing to further her education and experience.... and she got accepted into Podiatry School yesterday !
We are extremely excited for Gillian and wish her the best of luck.
We know she will be an amazing Dr.

Extremely important topic... and great reminder about diagnosis of atypical skin cancers in the foot.

We report a case of a 57-year-old male patient who presented with localized redness with possible cellulitis to the third toe. The podiatrist performed a shave biopsy with a Breslow’s depth of at least 1.1 mm. Pathological results confirmed a Clark’s Level 4 malignant melanoma over the nail bed ...
