MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: CAROLYN HOLLEY
Carolyn’s story is about a lot more than losing 30 pounds.
At the beginning of this year, she made a decision: she wanted to make a real change, feel better about herself, and look great in a bikini by the time she turned 50.
Seven months later, she’s done exactly that—but somewhere along the way, the goal became bigger than a number on the scale or how she looked in a swimsuit.
It became about keeping a promise to herself.
Carolyn has stayed consistent longer than she ever has before. She kept training when life got busy, when she was tired, when progress felt slow, and even after a severe ankle injury left her with broken bones, damaged tendons, and months on crutches.
She kept showing up.
“Keeping the promise to myself and not quitting is my 50th birthday gift to me.”
A huge part of Carolyn’s journey has been working with Sevens trainer Justin Aus. From helping her lose 30 pounds to completely modifying her training after her injury, Carolyn credits Justin with pushing her beyond what she thought she was capable of while making training something she genuinely looks forward to.
And that may be our favorite part of her story.
She didn’t just become leaner or stronger. She learned something about herself:
“I now know without a doubt that I can do hard things.”
Carolyn also says Sevens has become much more than just a place she works out.
“Training at Sevens makes me feel like I’m part of something special. I’m not a nameless face like it can sometimes be at the commercial gyms, and I’m proud to support a gym that supports me back.”
Carolyn, we’re proud as hell of what you’ve accomplished—and we have a feeling you’re just getting started.
Next goal? A bikini competition.
Maybe we’ll be watching her step on stage next year. 👀
Keep going, Carolyn. The job’s not finished.
