What Is Dynamic Cupping & Why Do I Love Using It?
One of the questions I get asked most is, “What is dynamic cupping?”
Unlike traditional cupping, where cups stay in one place, dynamic cupping is all about movement. I use soft silicone cups to create gentle suction while gliding them across the body. This lifts and decompresses the tissues, allowing muscles and fascia to move more freely.
One of the reasons I love dynamic cupping is that it can provide the benefits of deep tissue work without always needing deep pressure. Many clients are surprised by how effective it is while still feeling relaxing.
I use dynamic cupping in two different ways:
✨ Gliding Technique: The cups glide over tight muscles to reduce tension, improve circulation, and encourage healthy tissue movement.
✨ Movement & Stretching: I place the cups over restricted areas while guiding you through gentle stretches or movement. This can help release stubborn tightness and improve mobility in a way that feels amazing.
Benefits of Dynamic Cupping
• Relieves muscle tension and stubborn knots
• Increases circulation to muscles and soft tissues
• Improves mobility and range of motion
• Reduces fascial restrictions
• Helps ease trigger points
• Decreases stiffness from exercise or sitting for long periods
• Supports healthy lymphatic flow
• Improves mobility around healed scar tissue
• Helps relieve chronic aches and pains, including neck, shoulders, hips, and low back
What Does It Feel Like?
Most people describe it as:
• A gentle pulling or stretching sensation
• Less intense than traditional deep tissue massage
• Surprisingly relaxing—even over very tight muscles
Who Is It Great For?
Dynamic cupping is an excellent option if you:
✔️ Work at a desk
✔️ Exercise regularly or play sports
✔️ Struggle with chronic muscle tightness
✔️ Feel stiff or have limited flexibility
✔️ Deal with neck, shoulder, hip, or low back discomfort
Dynamic cupping is one of my favorite tools because every body is different. It allows me to customize your session, helping you move better, hurt less, and leave feeling like your body can finally relax.
