We had such a great time at the F45 event this past week!

Ray and I are really grateful to the team for having us and to everyone who came over to connect, ask questions, and let us share a little of what we do. It was such a fun atmosphere and we loved meeting you all.

If anything felt a little rushed we're sorry. We wanted to get care to as many people as we could in the time we had.

We are excited to stay connected with the F45 community and share more about what we offer at Vesica Wellness.

Keep an eye on your inbox because there is something coming your way!

Grateful for the opportunity. Hope to see some of you on the table soon. 🌿

Hi friends! I am back from Whidbey Island and I have something exciting to share.

I just added a new service to my menu called Somassage®, a trademarked structural integration bodywork session that works with the major fascial lines of the body from head to toe.

This is different from a full relaxation massage or treatment work. You will be asked for gentle participation here and there such as deep breaths, or gentle movements. We begin with a standing postural assessment, and the work follows a specific sequence designed to help your structure find more length, balance, and ease in gravity.

Many people leave feeling more aligned & supported by their body, have a sense of levity and ease, a have reported feeling more present and grounded.

It will be on the menu as a 90 minute sequence at $175.
Intro rate of $135 will be available through July 31st.

An opportunity to work on this w.i.p. after a reschedule this morning ❤️. Art is another huge creative outlet for me other than massage & bodywork. ✨️ 🎨 🖌

When “cheat day” isn’t worth it

Once the new website is up to date, posts like this will likely live in the blog section, but I wanted to share something here.

Understanding which foods are inflammatory to my system has been a huge part of my health journey. Sugar has been one of the biggest for me since I was a child. It really does act like a drug in the brain, affecting reward systems and impacting both body and mind. Last night, after a busy week, we decided to eat at one of our favorite local pizza spots because we didn’t feel like cooking. And now… I’m up at 4am.
Ray was snoring like a bear from the inflammatory response, we were both overheated, and our bodies were clearly working hard to process what we ate.
The difference from my past is awareness.
What used to turn into a domino effect of physical and emotional dysregulation, I now recognize more as a temporary response. I used to spiral more, eat for convenience for days after, feel worse, and then lean into other habits to cope. A cycle of self-deprecation disguised as “self-medicating.”
This isn’t about shame.
This is about awareness.
I’m up early after not sleeping well, my hips and back line feel inflamed and dehydrated, so I intentionally moved my body this morning to work through it. I’ll be doing a foot bath later, drinking more water, and likely getting into an infrared yoga class.
I’m not above any of this.
I’m working with a long-standing relationship with certain foods and patterns, and sugar is one that has stuck around longer than others.
I’ve been sitting with this idea lately:
“Everything is habit-forming, so make sure what you do is what you want to be doing.”
And it really lands for me.
I’m just at a point where I don’t want my tastebuds making decisions for me anymore.
I choose to feel good in my body.
I choose health.
I choose sovereignty.

“Cheat day” has shown me that I’m really only cheating myself.
This isn’t about never enjoying food.
It’s about understanding how what we consume affects us, so we can make more informed choices and support our bodies when things are off.
Stay curious. What creates inflammation in your body?

Coming to you LIVEEEE!

We built something for you… (and really, for us too)!

This photo is from a blooper while filming our onboarding videos.
Stumbling, laughing, and rollin’ with the punches (probably my first on-camera time since my childhood plays).

But, we built something human. Human-made and human-ran. Not something you have to get perfect, but something that meets you where you are.

We made this to support you in the best ways we know how in between sessions.

Bodywork is powerful, but real change happens and stays longer with consistent work between sessions.

This app is not one size fits all.
It is personalized and guided by us.
We work with you to support your daily habits with a mix of tools relating to:
- Nervous system regulation
- Stress management
- Brain healthy tools
- Postural alignment
- Self care for injuries
- Pain management
- And more

Organization and practical tools you can use everyday to integrate the bodywork and take better care of yourself throughout daily life, weather you are an athlete, dusting off the dumbbells, rehabilitating, or just wanting more structure and guidance.

Giving you the tools for real self-care and how with sustainable wellness tools.

The goal is not for you to need us.
The goal is for you to feel more capable in your own system.

If you’ve been wanting more support between sessions, this might be for you.

Hello from the other side of diagnosis.
It has been a very interesting few months of understanding identity and behavior and once again, another lens to look through to view myself and the world.

In such a fast paced world and a culture that heavily values production, I find myself having a hard time keeping up with creativity and expression in this space, while highly focusing on my clients in person. Operating a business and always having a growth mindset, I find myself being tempted and pressured at every turn to utilize more and more AI, to push out content to grab your attention, even if it is not of value.

Though, sometimes I understand tools are useful, I never want to let myself be coerced and convinced this is necessary because I feel behind. This is challenging personally, because there is often always a shadow undercurrent that I am behind in some area of my life. I will never let the soul of my work be left to the wayside for mass production. It’s very important to me to keep the integrity of my work and creations, sacred and human made. It is my intention to move even further into the space of authenticity and true creation regardless of how “slow” it is. Slow isn’t bad. It is intentional and grounded. And I have been able to slow down quite a bit this winter and paint and walk a lot. Spending time with myself, pup, and loved ones.

Integrating the new ideas of what it feels like to be finally diagnosed with Autism, and in addition, overfocused ADHD, anxious ADHD, PTSD, & TBI. It was really validating at first and I was grateful to learn many new things about how the brain works and why I feel the way I do. Since, it is another growth process of learning and integration and how to better support myself with this information, and in turn, my community.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to work with the Amen Clinics and the path I have been guided to follow to support others in their journeys as well.

If you’re reading this, it looks like the algorithm is rewarding me for posting into the mix!
If you have made it this far, I appreciate your time and curiosity. :)
