If you've searched for an IV certification and come up uncertain about which programs actually carry weight, you're not alone. The landscape is fragmented, and for nurses and allied health professionals, the wrong choice means a credential your employer either doesn't recognize or doesn't require.

We mapped the national programs that matter and what to look for before you register:

Is there a national IV certification? Compare the credentials recognized nationwide (CRNI, VA-BC) versus state authorization and course certificates.

Before you thread the catheter… do you know what your vein is telling you? πŸ©ΈπŸ’‰

At VeinCraft Academy, we teach the skill behind the stick β€” not just getting flash, but understanding it.

Knowing how to read and interpret your flash from multiple angles can help you recognize what’s happening beneath the surface and make more confident decisions during IV access.

This is the kind of technique and critical thinking we build into our hands-on training.

Ready to sharpen your IV skills?

πŸ’‰ Level 1 IV Training β€” $199

Drawing blood and placing an IV catheter share about ten seconds of technique. Then one skill ends and the harder one begins.

Plenty of combined venepuncture and cannulation courses split practice time equally between the two. That shortchanges the skill that actually fails at the bedside β€” cannulation adds a second motor skill (threading the catheter off the needle) plus all the aftercare a blood draw never touches. Some programs give you eight hours on real veins. Others are a half-day of slides and a latex arm.

We wrote a buyer's guide: what a combined course should cover, how much supervised practice each skill really needs, and the questions that expose a certificate mill:

What venepuncture and cannulation training should include, how much supervised practice each skill needs, and how to pick a course that builds real competence.

Tomorrow: Level 1: The Method
9 AM. Tora teaching.

Sunday: Level 2: The Craft in the morning.
Stick Lab in the afternoon.

Three sessions. Two days. One weekend at Radiance Clubhouse.

Level 1 is where confidence starts. Level 2 is where technique gets refined. Stick Lab is where you get the reps that turn knowledge into skill.

Now open to any healthcare provider with a qualifying certification to start IVs.

πŸ’‰ Level 1: The Method β€” $199
πŸ’‰ Level 2: The Craft β€” $299
πŸ’‰ Stick Lab β€” $69.99

They say it takes around 60 reps to truly develop a skill. Most providers never get that many opportunities during training. That's why we created Stick Lab: live sticks on real arms, real mentoring, and focused practice in a controlled environment.

Bring water, snacks, comfortable clothes, and be ready to work.

A few seats remain.

The research has a number. Most training programs don't get students close to it. Here's what the deliberate practice research actually says.
