Hi everyone š¤
Iāve been pretty quiet on here and I want to share why.
For almost two years Iāve been dealing with random rashes and constant fatigue. Recent bloodwork points to an Epstein-Barr flare triggered by Covid, and Iām currently in the frustrating process of being passed between doctors trying to get real answers.
Stress is one of my biggest triggers, so Iāve had to look at everything. Work. Social media. Events. Even doing hair. Iāve stepped back a lot. I only do hair four days a month now to avoid the toxins, and Iāve paused my womenās circles (a VERY hard decision).
During all of this, my husband and I started a side business thatās been a dream of ours for years. Itās exciting and taking off⦠and I want to pour everything into it. But Iām learning I canāt build something beautiful by burning myself out.
This season has opened my eyes to what people with autoimmune issues deal with. What works for one person doesnāt work for the next. I can eat āperfectly,ā skip alcohol, do all the healthy things⦠and still react. Still feel exhausted. Still not lose a pound. Ugh.
Working out has been one of the hardest adjustments. I love intense cardio. Sweaty, push-yourself sessions. Right now my body just isnāt allowing it. And thatās humbling.
As a business owner, stepping back from social media hasnāt been easy. But it didnāt feel aligned to keep showing up when I didnāt even want to be here.
So Iām honoring this season.
I still have big visions for womenās events and building a bold, fiery community. But I refuse to host from depletion. If I show up, I want to show up fully.
If my quietness felt personal, itās not. I just donāt always know how Iām going to feel tomorrow.
Iām still a fiery woman who doesnāt tolerate BS. Probably even less now.
For now, Iām healing š¤
If you were looking for permission to take a break, here it is. We as women, we are expected to balance it all. And if youāre a woman with big dreams and big goals, the weight and expectations are even heavier. Step back and find your balance. This is me walking the walk not just talking to talk.
*Photos are highlights of me enjoying the journey. Life is so good.
