I’m excited (and honestly really honored) to share that I was recently featured in an AARP article about paid caregiving support for families.
As a social worker and licensed therapist who specializes in supporting dementia family caregivers, one of the questions I hear all the time is:
“How do I know what type of help my parent or spouse actually needs?”
Trying to figure out paid caregiving support can feel incredibly overwhelming. Companion care? Personal care? Home care agency? When is it time? How do families even pay for this?
I’m grateful to have contributed a small piece to this article, which walks through:
• signs it may be time to bring in help
• different paid caregiving options
• where families can find support
• ways to help pay for care

If this season of caregiving feels overwhelming, I hope this feels helpful.
