“Restorative” refers to something that has the power or tendency to heal, revive, or bring back to a healthy and vigorous condition. Restorative practices or exercises you can do for your body are massage therapy, acupuncture, floating or soaking in water, gentle yoga, reiki, laying in the sun or on the earth, sound baths,& somatic movement. I am sure there are other passive techniques you can do to support & balance your nervous system. The main focus is not to focus at all but to surrender to a deep relaxed state, allowing the body to restore itself .

I am here to help you but it takes effort from everyone. Clients need to also stretch, exercise, get rest, drink water, and go to physical therapy or some other complimentary modality to get better results. This was an excellent reminder from Massage Magazine.
