Ya'll!!! I just realized that my leggings are not stretched. Like, there's room around my thighs! That's just insane. So, high protein, low calorie is definitely working. Just maybe not in my preferred areas...yet 😝. Plus I promise I'll start posting pictures soon. I have an insane dessert I want to share.

Decided to use up all the leftovers in the freezer so I can get my dishes back. Still needed a meal and breakfast so made Baconator Burritos from Jack Perez (-405 Calories
-17g Fat,-20g Carbs, -43g Protein) and French Toast Breakfast sandwiches (inspired by McKayla Thomas, approx 410 calories, 38g protein, 18g fat & 16 net carbs)

Hubby's burrito version left out the potato and the sauce. He said they smelled so good, he couldn't wait and ate one for lunch. Rave reviews! Can't wait to try one for myself.

Back from a two week trip that was both vacation and work related. Saw some beautiful parts of Kentucky and the conference was great. Even managed to learn a few things about myself along the way.

Food, was not so great. Did good on vacation, about 90% of the time. Once the conference started, everything went out the window. Ga***rd Resorts, you stink. You don't make every single friggin chicken dish spicy as hell when you are serving over 2k people. Nuff said. Other bad food choices were my own fault, cause I was so hungry! I will say that we had a fabulous meal at The Aquarium restaurant in Nashville. Salmon was the bomb!

Anyways, we'll see the overall effect on Monday, the official weigh in day. I'm back on track and contemplating meals for next week. Hubs is diabetic and eats high protein/keto, while I focus on high protein/low calories. If I make anything good, I'll let you know who I got the recipe from and if I made any changes for the hubs.

I started this page to help myself be accountable. I'm lazy. Always have been. I've never been an excersice or sports person. I have kids, but they are all grown now. I have a desk job. I knit, so again, sitting around alot.

A few years ago, I found myself about to fall over the 300lb mark. I've gained and lost 1000s of lbs throughout my life, but this one scared me. Overweight, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and pre-menopasal. Kind of sucked. So I started, again, down the path to lose weight. Managed to lose about 10-15lbs playing at eating keto. Husband and I discussed starting on GLP1 meds, so I visited my Dr.

Here we are a year later. I've lost 70lbs eating keto/low carb with the GLP1. But I'm still sedentary and pretty much in full menopause. Ive lost fat and inches over my whole body, but the stomach area continues to be an issue. (Lets not talk about my bat wings...the fat under my arms that I swear could make me fly if I flap hard enough). The sedentary part is partly because I'm lazy, partly because I'm still recovering from foot surgery. But I have been able to drop one of my blood pressure meds, yay me.

So here's the deal. I've come to a point where , yes I need to get off my lazy ass and move, but I have to find an eating lifestyle that works for me. Keto can work (I've done it before), but I think my body needs something different at this time in my life. I've been stalking several different pages on FB, and I've determined that a high protein, lowish carb, low fat diet is what Im going to do. Will it work? Who knows? Only thing that makes me hesitant is the carbs in all the recipes I see. So I'm going to modify them. One because again, Im hesitant to start eating that many carbs, and two, I have to modify for the hubs, who is diabetic and won't eat them.

I'm doing this for me. If it helps you figure out what works for you, great. I'm not selling or sponsoring anything or anyone. Maybe I'll tell you who I follow and maybe I won't. If I find a recipe that works great for me, I'll post it and let you know who I got it from and what modifications I did if any.

As of this morning, I weigh 227.4 lbs. The goal is 175 and to come off the rest of my meds. Oh, and to get off my lazy ass and move.
