The world tells us to hurry.
Hurry to achieve.
Hurry to heal.
Hurry to become.
But what if the soul doesn't grow at the speed of our calendars?
A friend recently shared a phrase pilots learn before they ever leave the ground:
Slow is smooth.
The more I've sat with those words, the more I've come to believe they are spiritual wisdom.
When we slow down, we make room to notice God.
We begin to see our own story more clearly.
And perhaps most importantly, we remember who we are—before the world tells us who we should be.
In my latest Wilderness Field Notes, I explore why slowing down isn't falling behind. It may be one of the most faithful acts of resistance in a hurried world.
If your life has felt rushed, blurry, or overwhelmed lately, I wrote this for you.
