WHATS IN A NAME?

So, where did the name "The Twin Engines Speakers Guild" come from? Funny you should ask!🤣

A few years ago we had the pleasure of becoming great friends with this legend right here, Lou George Jr aka "Bowlegged Lou" from the R&B Group Full Force.

Well, we worked jointly on some projects with him, and shared mutual clients with our Primary Care/Diabetes Wellness Center, Case Management Associates LLC and his nonprofit organization Hope with a Vizion.

From that interaction, he started calling us his, "Twin Engines"! I guess because we were always on the move!🤣

So, when we wanted to start our speakers guild and trying to think of a name, it was only fitting that we use this name..a name given to us by such a humble, kind, giving man who serves the community like us. Thank you Lou for everything! Love you man!!

Growing up, Kim and I were often told to shhhh or tone our voices down🤫....because "our voices carried" when we spoke.📢. I would feel insecure about that sometimes. But God gifted Kim and I with speaker's voices.

It's funny how God gives you a gift when you're young and it's not until much later in life, you realize THE WHY.

We love public speaking, especially when it comes to subjects close to our hearts such as disease prevention, diabetes management, heart health and nursing.

Kim and I are on a mission....to save our village! According to recent statistics, Petersburg has the worst health outcomes in the entire state of Virginia!

We decided over 6 years ago to open our Nurse run, Nurse Owned Primary Care/Diabetes Wellness Center in Petersburg just for that reason...TO SAVE OUR VILLAGE!

We are honored to partner with Paris Boynes and The Petersburg Healthy Options Partnerships here in the city to help do our part to educate and provide resources for those who need us most!

It's been a tough few years for us all, especially for nurses. But we press on doing what we love to do most! Public speaking, empowerment, encouraging and educating those that need us most is our passion!

Even though Kim and I struggle with our own chronic condition; Congestive Heart Failure and often speak on that topic, we also travel across the country to speak on other chronic diseases that plague our community such as hypertension, heart disease and diabetes.

We would love to speak and be a part of your next event, seminar, heath care symposium, meeting or social event!!
