Do you feel like what you do is enough?
...ever?
Over the last few years of doing the deep healing, the shadow work, exploration into my subconscious, I have found that I have this pattern: "No matter what I do, it will never be enough." (This is not a forever thing btw.)
The bar is ALWAYS MOVING because - I - am the one moving it.
I rarely celebrate my accomplishments because there is always the NEXT THING to do.
The "next thing" is usually motivated by some kind of fear - fear of losing a connection/love, of not being enough, of becoming a failure, of ending up broke, of losing someone's approval, etc.
Guess what - this bleeds into everyyytthhiinnggg in your life.
Every relationship.
It shows up in relationships by doing things for the other person, no matter the dynamic, to receive their attention, whether positive or negative. It doesn't matter which - you just need their attention.
It shows up by constantly being available for everyone 24/7, taking responsibility for the emotions of the people around you, doing things/favors to prove your worth, not setting boundaries because you fear deep down that a boundary means losing the person on the receiving end...
Remember, being caring, loving, generous, all those traits are *amazing things* when channeled appropriately.
There is *nothing* wrong with you if you learned that you had to be someone or something in order to receive love.
Your superpowers are love, kindness, generosity, caring, all of it.
And, your superpowers are way more effective if you can do it all with an open heart *while* setting boundaries and understanding that when someone withdraws their love because you set that boundary, that's conditional love. You don't want that.
Don't sacrifice your love and respect for yourself so you can receive "love" from someone who really isn't capable of loving you the way you need to be loved.
It's okay. There are 8 billion people on the planet. There are people out there who will and do love you as you are without you needing to do or change anything.
You'll see it every time you show up for yourself.
