Been a little quiet over here lately… but one thing about horse girls? We always come back tougher. 🖤

This last year brought a lot of hard things, heartbreak, and some losses that honestly change you forever. Losing one of the great ones this last November reminded me just how much these horses carry us through in life — in and out of the arena.

Because the truth is, for a lot of us, horses are more than a hobby.
They’re our peace.
Our drive.
Our escape.
The reason we keep showing up even when life gets heavy.

The great ones are the reason Maks Magic exists in the first place.

This brand was built through long nights at the barn, hauling to races exhausted, chasing dreams, fighting through setbacks, loving great horses deeply, and wanting products that truly helped them feel and perform their absolute best.

And honestly, I think the resilience these horses build in us deserves a little credit too.

Because competitors know:
you learn how to fight a little harder after everything you survive with a good horse beside you.

Somehow, even through all the chaos, this little business kept growing because of you guys.

So genuinely, thank you.
For supporting this dream.
For supporting a small business built by someone living the same horse life you are.
And for believing in products inspired by some truly incredible horses along the way.

We’ve got some amazing things coming next, and I can’t wait to share them with you guys.

Because if there’s one thing I know for sure — great horses build resilient women, and both deserve products made by someone who truly understands what it takes to keep going. ✨

A lot of you may or may not know this, but Todos Juntos is near and dear to my heart.

I don’t usually share much here outside of horses and my business, but this one’s special. Todos Juntos is an incredible nonprofit that’s been changing lives across rural Clackamas County for over 25 years.

They’ve grown to serve more than 3,000 children and parents every year—showing up in small towns, inside schools, and throughout the community to make sure families have the support, tools, and confidence they need to thrive.

It’s hard to explain just how big their impact is. They’re one of those rare organizations that fills the gaps others can’t—helping families who might otherwise fall through the cracks feel seen, supported, and capable.

I honestly wish every community had something like this. The work they do is life-changing, and I’m proud that Mak’s Magic has grown enough to give back in a small way through Willamette Week’s Give!Guide.
