Sharpening the senses through photographs and memories!

Our residents enjoyed reminiscing about the stories behind their favorite photos and reflecting on how pictures can instantly bring back the emotions and memories of special moments.

Happy National Watermelon Day! 🍉 Our Woodland Hills engagement team surprised residents with a delicious watermelon social this afternoon. From the first bite to the last, everyone enjoyed this refreshing summer favorite together. Thank you to our amazing team for making every day special!

🌿Our residents had a wonderful time discovering the details of different plants through leaf identification, followed by a creative leaf-rubbing activity! This engaging experience brought together observation, artistry, and a love for nature. We're so grateful for these meaningful moments that help us bloom in our Inspiritás-Memory Care neighborhood.

Lee Kennedy coaches our residents on the Woodland Hills six-wicket croquet course. A complex sport played at croquet clubs all over the world with six wickets, one stake, and rectangular courts. It calls for well-maintained and level lawns cut very short and involves complex strategy and advanced shot-making skills. We call it challenging, but fun!

Our Inspiritás-Memory Care resident recently enjoyed a performance of Into the Woods at the Attic Productions theater in Fincastle. The beloved musical follows several classic fairy tale characters—including Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, and others—as they pursue their deepest wishes.

This experience brought back fond memories of attending productions with her church, making the outing especially meaningful. A lifelong fan of musicals, she was delighted to take photos with some of her favorite cast members, including Rapunzel, the Witch, and the two Princes.

Our Inspiritás-Memory Care residents teed up for a fantastic RUI FIT outing at Glen Acres Driving Range! Residents enjoyed practicing their golf swings, soaking up the fresh air, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. It was a wonderful day of fitness, friendship, and fun as everyone embraced the opportunity to stay active while trying something new—or sharpening their skills!

What a memorable visit to Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest! Our residents enjoyed touring this historic retreat, taking in the beautiful octagonal design and learning about its fascinating past. Some shared their own memories of visiting over the years, while others experienced it for the first time. A perfect blend of history, architecture, and great company! 🌳

Our residents had a wonderful time exploring the Roanoke Car Show! It was a beautiful day filled with fresh air, laughter, great conversation, and classic cars. There's nothing quite like getting out and about with good company! 🚗✨
