When we were visited by the Patriot Guards on Memorial Day, Fleming Point resident and military veteran, Fred Latham, was able to have a one-of-a-kind experience! He had a great time reminiscing with members of this group, and was especially thrilled to get to check out their motorcycles firsthand!

On Memorial Day, we had the great honor of being visited by a local chapter of the Patriot Guards. This amazing group of veterans came to Fleming Point on their motorcycles, proudly displaying USA flags on each bike! During lunch, they came in and flanked our Veterans’ Wall, standing at attention with flags raised. After a brief ceremony and moment of silence, these veterans joined our residents for lunch. Our residents enjoyed chatting with these fellow military personnel, and especially enjoyed checking out their motorcycles! To end the afternoon, they performed the very beautiful and emotional ceremony of folding our flag.
We are so grateful that the Patriot Guards joined us, and kudos to our Engage Life Coordinator, Jackie, for putting together a respectful and wonderful tribute to our veterans.

Each year, our Resident Council nominates and awards a Fleming Point associate the MVP Employee of the Year honor. For 2025, the recipient was our driver, Randy Spilberg! Randy is a wonderful asset to Fleming Point. He provides transportation to many of our residents on a weekly basis. He provides fantastic customer service, and we are lucky to have him!
