Every homeschool mom has one. A thing about your child that used to keep you up at night, and somewhere along the way you just stopped worrying about it.

Maybe they learned to read late and now you can’t get them to put a book down. Maybe they hated writing and now they won’t stop journaling. Maybe it was something about food, or focus, or friendships, and it just quietly resolved itself.

What’s one thing you used to worry about that you don’t anymore? What changed?

What if curriculum shopping season isn’t really about curriculum? What if It’s just decision fatigue wearing a trench coat?

If you’re stuck, it’s probably not because you can’t find the right math program. It’s probably because you’ve made a few thousand small decisions since June and your brain is asking for a break, and instead you’re giving it forty Facebook group threads and a spreadsheet.😩

You don’t have to decide everything this week. Pick the one subject that was the loudest complaint in your house last year and start there. The rest can wait.

What’s the one subject you’re still circling back to?

Everywhere you look the school supply displays are already up. No matter what the stores displays tell you about when you should start back to (home) school, remember it’s up to your family’s needs.

Some of you started weeks ago. Some of you aren’t starting until after Labor Day. Some of you go year-round and don’t really have a “start” at all, just a rhythm you keep adjusting.

There’s no wrong answer here, just a lot of different clocks running at the same time.
So, when does back-to-school actually start for your family this year?

Over the years, I’ve tried to encourage moms through the podcast, this community, speaking, and one-on-one coaching. I’ve been praying about what the next step looks like because I’ve wanted a way to spend more focused time with moms who are ready for things to feel different.

One thing I’ve noticed over and over again is how many of us are running on empty.

We get through the day. We get through the week. We get through the school year. We finally exhale and say, “We made it.”

Somewhere along the way, many of us have started believing that’s simply what homeschooling feels like.

I don’t think it has to.

I believe we can build a homeschool with more margin, more simplicity, more flexibility, and more support. I believe that leads to more clarity, more confidence, and more calm. I believe homeschooling can feel different.

So I’m doing something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.

I’m putting together a small founding cohort of homeschool moms. For six weeks, we’ll walk through the Breathable Homeschool framework together. I’ll coach you personally, you’ll learn alongside other moms, and together we’ll build a homeschool that gives you more room to breathe.

Before the cohort begins, I’d love to have a few Clarity Calls.

We’ll spend about 30 minutes talking about your homeschool, what’s feeling heavy right now, and what you’d love this school year to feel like instead.

If that sounds like a conversation you’d like to have, send me a message or comment “Clarity” below, and I’ll reach out.

Holidays carry a lowkey pressure that can make them feel like more work instead of rest, and in the middle of planning the perfect celebration, it’s easy to lose sight of your own longing to actually enjoy the day. It’s okay for you to wish for a holiday of your own and not just an event you’re managing for everyone else.

Once we can name that desire (without guilt), the pillars become the path toward it.

I hope you enjoy this Independence Day rather than just make it enjoyable for everyone else.

Happy (Breathable😉) Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

Can I just remind you of something?

You were never meant to carry it alone — and I mean that for every area of your life. Homeschooling, your faith walk, your marriage, your business, the everyday weight of just being a woman who's trying to show up well for everyone around her. We have somehow convinced ourselves that needing people is a weakness, that asking for help means we aren't capable enough, that the strongest version of us is the one who figures it out solo. But that's just not true, and I think deep down we know it.

The Support pillar is one of the five pillars of Breathable Homeschool for a reason. Because I've felt the burnout firsthand — and it certainly wasn't for lack of passion or purpose, motivation or mindset, or systems and structure (although I was always tweaking those, trying to do better and be better). It was because I was carrying something that was always meant to be shared. And I've watched what happens when the right people finally step into your corner.

Everything shifts. In you and around you.

The load feels lighter. The vision gets clearer. The thing you were afraid to attempt suddenly becomes possible.

These two women are living proof of that for me. They didn't just show up — they caught the vision, worked the vision, and helped me take what was just an idea in my head and turn it into a room full of moms who genuinely needed to be there. The Breathable Homeschool Mom Celebration Brunch happened because of their encouragement, their labor, and their belief that it was worth doing well. I couldn't have done it without them, and I wouldn't want to.

So if you're reading this and you've been white-knuckling your way through this season — whether that's a homeschool year that feels impossible, a chapter of life that feels heavier than you expected, or a dream you've been sitting on because you don't have anyone to help you carry it — this is your sign to cultivate your circle. Invest in the people who see what you're building. Let people in. Support doesn't just make hard things easier; it can genuinely be the difference between something failing, something flourishing, and something that just gets quietly forgotten. And the beautiful thing about the circle is that you don't just get to receive support — you get to be it.

We were never built for this life alone.

We did it!! 🎉

Our first ever Mom Brunch is officially in the books, and I’m still riding the high from watching this room full of homeschool moms laugh, celebrate, and just get to be moms for a couple hours. If you were there — thank you for trusting me with your Saturday morning. If you weren’t — I’m already dreaming about next year.

This room is what it looks like when moms finally have margin to just breathe together. That’s exactly what I want for you every day of your homeschool life, not just one brunch a year. The July coaching cohort is built for that. If you’re ready, register here https://breathablehomeschoolcohort.com/
