Gosh where to start with this babe? Long story short this pregnancy…I don’t know how else to say it: we deserved it! We fought for it every step of the way! After her last baby came early at just 26 weeks, we knew we had our work cut out for us. We researched, we consulted, we planned, we monitored, we treated, we prayed - we believed! Little brother stayed way past big sister - 40+ weeks! Mama worked her tail off and birthed this beautiful (not 2 pound 😅) boy!
Every visit, despite our caution and the potential seriousness of the situation, was filled with laughter and coffee. I got to see big sister learn how to walk. I got to see mom and pop gain more and more confidence. I got to see some healing take place.
I gotta tell you, too - I asked her how she found me (way back when, cuz we’ve been together for years now!) She said I had served a friend of a friend of hers, that’s how she got my name. She had talked with a few midwives before me. They were either not available or not who she was looking for. After our phone call, her man picked her up for a date - she opened the door and said “I found her!”
Leo, you’re everything we dreamed of, sir! We love you! 🌿
