I have always had a sense that "there's is a greater purpose for my struggles." Since I was a little girl, I have had the belief that everything happens to us for a reason. Also that each inter

action with others, is either part of the lesson, part of the message or a combination of the both. I believe that lessons in our life are not meant to be malicious, they are meant to transformative. They are essential to growth and who we are to become. Similar to the butterfly's cocoon and what it must endure before it's transformation, yet they turn into something beautiful! Even though I wake up everyday with various aches and pains and limitations; rather than let it get me down and isolate me, I have found that connecting with others and helping them keeps me healthy and reinforces my belief that we all need one another. I get up everyday and choose to keep being positive despite those limits. I have chosen to face my limits and REDEFINE them! I have taken those sour lemons and squeezed out some sweetness! I know that being a Health/Life Coach is what I was destined to become. I know the disciplines that I have learned from the chaos of the things I have been through will help guide others through their challenges. I will help you get tough and reach your goals! I take a whole body, mind and spirit approach and look for any imbalances and teach you about how the negative impacts your overall health. I will teach you to focus on self care and lifestyle change, and how eating healthy and exercise can be fun! I am here to motivate, inspire, educate and serve you!

You can spend years figuring out what you don’t want.

I don’t want another toxic relationship.
I don’t want to keep people-pleasing.
I don’t want to feel trapped.
I don’t want to keep abandoning myself just to belong.

But eventually there’s another question:

Okay… what DO I want?

And if you’ve spent a long time surviving, caregiving, adapting, or keeping everybody else okay, that question can be surprisingly hard to answer.

That’s where the final part of this series goes.

We started with Awareness: seeing the pattern.

Then Acceptance: stopping the fight with what already happened without pretending it was okay.

Now we’re moving into Aligned Action:

With everything I know now, what is one empowered action I can take toward the life I actually want?

Not 47 actions.

Not “rebuild your entire life by Tuesday.” 😂

One honest next step.

Because future you is being created through what present you repeatedly practices.

The new episode of Traversing the Trail — What Do You Actually Want? Creating a Life That Feels Like Yours is available now. 🌿

Tell me this:

What do you want MORE of in this next season of your life?

Awareness helps you see. Acceptance helps you release the fight. Aligned action helps you create something new. 🌿

So what’s your one honest next step?

Acceptance Doesn’t Mean It Was Okay: Moving Through Grief Without Abandoning Yourself,

Acceptance doesn’t mean it was okay.

It doesn’t mean what happened was fair. It doesn’t mean you deserved it. And it doesn’t mean you have to forgive, forget, or give someone access to you again.

Sometimes healing from grief, childhood trauma, the end of a relationship, losing your health, or losing the future you thought you were going to have begins with something much harder:

Accepting what is true now.

Because grief isn’t only about death.

We grieve people who are still alive. Relationships. Friendships. Our health. Our identity. The childhood we didn’t get. The future we imagined. And sometimes, the version of someone we kept hoping they would become.

Acceptance can sound like:

This happened.
It hurt me.
It wasn’t what I wanted.
I deserved something different.
And I cannot change what happened.

That isn’t approval.

That’s where we stop using all of our energy fighting what was—and begin deciding how we want to meet what is.

My new Traversing the Trail episode, “Acceptance Doesn’t Mean It Was Okay: Moving Through Grief Without Abandoning Yourself,” goes deeper into grief, acceptance, boundaries, self-abandonment, letting go, and what it can look like to hold compassion for someone without continuing to volunteer for pain.

What reality are you learning to accept without pretending it was okay?

Have you ever finally recognized one of your patterns and thought…

“Okay. I see it now. But what do I actually DO with it?”

You recognize the people-pleasing.
The overgiving.
The shutdown.
The fear.
The ways you abandon yourself to preserve a relationship or keep the peace.

That awareness matters.

But awareness is only the beginning.

In today’s new episode of Traversing the Trail, we’re talking about what comes next—and how curiosity, choice, and small aligned actions can begin turning insight into something you actually live.

🌿 Awareness Is Only the Beginning: What You Do Next Changes Your Life

The full episode is available now on my YouTube channel. 🤍

Because awareness can show you the pattern.

What you choose to do next is where your life begins to change.

✨ NEW VIDEO IS LIVE! ✨
WHY DOES REST FEEL WRONG?
Why You Feel Guilty When You Rest and The Real Reason You Struggle to Put Yourself First

Have you ever noticed that taking time for yourself feels… wrong?

Maybe you feel guilty when you rest.
Maybe you struggle to put yourself first.
Maybe you’ve spent so many years taking care of everyone else that you don’t even know what you need anymore.

In today’s Traversing the Trail – Episode 48, I share one unexpected moment at Ice House Reservoir that completely changed the way I think about healing.

What started as a simple Saturday of self-care turned into one of the most powerful metaphors I’ve ever experienced about trauma, people-pleasing, Internal Family Systems, and learning to come back to yourself.

If you’ve ever wondered why self-care feels so difficult… this video is for you.

🎥 Watch now on YouTube.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that taking care of everyone else came before taking care of ourselves.

But what if self-care isn’t selfish?

What if it’s the very thing that helps us stop surviving and start living?

Nature has a way of slowing us down long enough to hear what our nervous system has been trying to tell us all along.

If this message found you at the right time, leave a 🌿 in the comments.

Sometimes the most beautiful journeys are the ones that don’t go according to plan.

This trip to Lake Tahoe became so much more than a drive through the mountains.

Lake Tahoe reminded me that burned forests recover, glaciers reshape mountains through patience, and the most beautiful views often come after unexpected detours.

Maybe we’re not so different.

What’s one lesson nature has taught you?

I used to believe peace would arrive all at once.

One breakthrough.
One big realization.
One day where everything finally made sense.

Instead, it arrived quietly.

In moments where I stopped trying to fix myself…
Stopped trying to prove my worth…
Stopped believing rest had to be earned.

For me, nature became the place where I could slowly teach my nervous system what safety actually feels like.

Maybe your version looks different.

Maybe it’s sitting on your porch.
Walking barefoot in the grass.
Watching a sunset.
Taking one deep breath before responding instead of reacting.

Healing isn’t always about doing more.

Sometimes it’s about finally staying with yourself long enough to receive the peace that’s been waiting for you all along. 💚

What’s one place that helps you feel safe enough to simply be?

Some days, I have the energy for a weekend camping trip.

Other days, I don’t.

This was one of those days.

Instead of pushing through or telling myself I hadn’t “earned” a break, I packed a day bag, found a quiet campsite at Folsom Lake, and gave myself permission to simply exist.

No agenda.
No proving.
No pressure to be productive.

Just water, fresh air, dragonflies, birds, sunshine, and the gentle reminder that nature never asks us to prove our worth before welcoming us in.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately, consider this your invitation to pause for a few minutes and breathe with me.

Maybe today doesn’t need more hustle.

Maybe today just needs a little more presence. 💚

What’s one place that helps you feel like yourself again?
