At RVABA, we believe every child deserves to be understood, respected, and supported. What is ABA?

Through compassionate, child-led ABA therapy, we partner with families to build meaningful skills, foster independence, and celebrate each child’s unique journey. Applied Behavior Analysis involves many techniques for understanding and changing behavior. ABA is a flexible treatment:

Can be adapted to meet the needs of each unique person

Provided in many different locations – at school, and in the community

Teaches skills that are useful in everyday life

Can involve one-to-one teaching or group instruction

The last few weeks at RVABA have been full of laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories! ☀️🎶

During Beach Bash Week, our clients splashed through sprinklers, raced down water slides, explored sandboxes, and enjoyed all the fun that summer has to offer. Then we turned up the volume for Music Mania, where they sang karaoke, explored different instruments, and enjoyed music-themed crafts and activities.

While these weeks were packed with fun, they were also filled with meaningful opportunities to build important skills. Our clients practiced making new friends, sharing, taking turns, transitioning between activities, communicating with peers, and so much more! We are proud to create meaningful opportunities all through natural experiences.

We believe therapy should be more than sitting at a table. It should create opportunities for children to experience joy, build confidence, connect with others, and learn in ways that are meaningful to them.

None of this would be possible without our incredible staff, whose creativity, dedication, and passion make weeks like these come to life. Thank you for going above and beyond to create experiences that many of our clients may not otherwise have.

Over the past few weeks, our clients have had the incredible opportunity to learn from some of the people who help keep our community safe every day.

A huge thank you to the Pope County Sheriff's Office and Detention Center and the Russellville Fire Dept. for taking the time to visit River Valley ABA Services, share about your important roles in our community, answer questions, and give our kiddos a close-up look at your emergency vehicles.

Experiences like these help make learning meaningful and memorable. Our clients loved exploring the patrol cars and fire trucks, meeting local heroes, and learning more about the helpers they may see in their everyday lives.

We are so grateful for community partners who are willing to invest their time in creating these opportunities for our children. Thank you for all you do to serve and protect our community, and for making these visits so special for our clients and staff!
