The magic of childhood brains is that they build entire theories out of popsicles and confidence 🍭🧠
Today we were trying to figure out the flavor of the white part of a popsicle when one of my VIPs confidently explained:
‘Well I know cherry and blueberry would make grape, because it would be purple if you mix them.’
Honestly? Tiny scientist energy. And technically… I couldn’t argue with the logic 😂
These are the moments that make this job pure gold. Childhood wonder, creative thinking, and conversations you could never script. ✨

A little reintroduction feels overdue ✨

Hi, I’m the face behind “Your Friendly Neighborhood SLP.” 💜

While many of you know me from The Reading Speechie, literacy has never been separate from language for me… it’s always been part of the heart of what I do. This new space reflects that bigger picture.

I’m passionate about supporting communication in ways that feel meaningful, functional, and empowering for each individual child and family. From speech and language to literacy, social communication, confidence, and connection… every voice matters here.

You’ll still find the same evidence-based support, dyslexia-informed approach, and deep love for helping kids grow into confident communicators. Just with a name that feels a little more like me.

So here’s to fresh starts, familiar hearts, and continuing to build something special together. ✨

For years, so many of you have known me as The Reading Speechie on Teachers Pay Teachers, and that part of me is not going anywhere. Dyslexia intervention, literacy, language, and helping kids find confidence in communication will always be at the heart of what I do.

Because here’s the truth:
language is literacy.
Always has been.

This rebrand isn’t about leaving that mission behind. It’s about growing into a space that reflects the full picture of who I am as an SLP, educator, advocate, and human behind the screen.
