It's time to Chalk It Up! 🎨 The Chalk It Up Festival is a three-day, FREE, family-friendly celebration of local artists and the arts community here in Sacramento. Here's what you can expect ⤵️

🎶 Three days of live local music on the Chalk It Up stage
🍔 Food and craft vendors selling locally made goods
🍻 A “Drink It Up” tent for 21+ guests to enjoy local b**r from Oak Park Brewing Co. ciders, seltzers, and N/A options
🧒 FREE sidewalk chalk for kids to draw inside the park, plus kids' activities in the Kids' Corner
👕 A tent where you can purchase Chalk It Up logo gear, fancy sidewalk chalk and drink tickets
💫 HUNDREDS of local artists creating a live art gallery out of sidewalk chalk on the sidewalks surrounding the park

🖌️ ShonnaMcDaniels (Shonna McDaniels) - A prominent Sacramento-based professional artist, muralist and activist dedicated to uplifting Black women and creating inclusive art. She is the founder and Executive Director of the Sojourner Truth African Heritage Museum, a cultural institution she established in 1996 to celebrate Black history, art, and culture.

💋 MISTRESS TINSEL TEASE (Tinsel Tease) - Known as the “ShowGal of NorCal,” Tinsel Tease is an entertainer, designer and personality embodying a glamorous vintage aesthetic without the vintage values. An award-winning costume designer whose credits include HBO Max and Paramount+, Tinsel builds her own dazzling wardrobe by hand, ensuring every performance is a bespoke masterpiece.

🎭 TwoPoint4 Dance Theatre (TwoPoint4 Dance Theatre) - Founded by Tony Nguyen, Emilee Mercado, Christine Crooks, and Diego Campos-Martinez, their mission is to explore, challenge, and create innovative dance-theater works blending physicality, original text, and theatrical elements. The Sacramento-based contemporary dance company and nonprofit is dedicated to creating innovative, immersive dance-theatre experiences.

🎨 (Uli Smith) - A Sacramento-based painter, muralist, and visual designer. Her studio practice explores identity, heritage, and connection to place, while her mural and design work collaborates with clients to create vibrant, color-driven visual experiences.

🧱 Yellow Brick Group (Yellow Brick Group) - YBG was founded in Sacramento in 2018 by friends Curtis Currier, Damian Lynch, and Shawn Kahan as a creative agency rooted in the city’s culture.
