Some relationships are not relationships. They are eternal waiting rooms.

You're waiting for the call. The apology. The consistency. The future he described becoming the life he actually lives.

And while you wait — your purpose waits. Your creativity waits. Your peace waits. Your life waits.

The deepest loss is not only that he did not become who he promised to be. It is that "you" stopped becoming who you were here to be, while you waited for him.

Freedom begins when you stop making his potential the center of your life.

Waiting for him = postponing you.

If this hit home, drop a 🙏 in the comments. And tell me — what part of your life has been waiting with you? Let's release it together.

Every morning, I begin with surrender.

My name, Nithya Samarpini Ananda, carries the meaning of eternal surrender and bliss.

In the Vedic tradition, puja is not simply offering a flower, lighting a lamp, or ringing a bell. It is a sadhana — a spiritual practice of offering the self back to existence.

The lamp, the incense, the padukas, the prayer… each becomes a reminder:

I am not separate from the Divine.

And every morning, my little Nandi, Ted, comes running to join me.

In this space, I pray for all beings. I bless you. I pray that you discover the peace that is already within you.

May we surrender what we are not… and rest in what we truly are.

Nithyanandam.
Samarpini.

In my last video, I shared how a painful experience can become a belief, and how a relationship can seem to prove it true. So what happens when you catch that cycle in real time?

You pause. You notice the old thought—perhaps “I’m not enough”—without fighting it or treating it as your identity. It may speak through money fears, work stress, or missing someone who didn’t choose you. But you can witness it and say, “This is the old belief speaking. It is not who I am.”

That pause is where a different choice becomes possible.

Why do we sometimes find ourselves living the same relationship again — just with a different person?

Because the pattern often began long before the relationship did.

EXPERIENCE → COGNITION → IDENTITY → RELATIONSHIP → “PROOF”

A painful experience creates a meaning.

The meaning becomes a belief about ourselves.

The belief becomes an identity.

And that identity begins making choices — often without our conscious awareness.

Eventually, the relationship reflects the original wound back to us, and we say, “See? I knew it. I’m not enough. People always leave. Love isn’t safe.”

That is how the circle keeps itself alive.

The way out is not simply positive thinking.

It is:

WITNESS → DISSOLVE → CHOOSE AGAIN

See the belief.
Meet the identity beneath it.
Dissolve what was never true about you.
Then choose from consciousness rather than the wound.

What did an early painful experience teach you to believe about who you are in love?

Sometimes the beginning of healing is finally being deeply seen.

How often do we find ourselves asking, "Why does this keep happening to me?"

It’s a natural human response, but it keeps us stuck in the loop. The shift happens when we realize: Life isn't happening to you. You are happening.

When an early experience creates a belief, that belief becomes an identity—and that identity starts choosing for us without our permission. Healing isn't about positive thinking; it’s about bringing awareness to the wound so you can make a fresh, conscious choice.

Take a moment today to reflect: What is an old belief you are ready to let go of? ❤️

The wound is like a filter placed over reality.
When a painful experience creates a deep belief such as I am not worthy of love, I will be abandoned, or love always leads to disappointment, that belief begins organizing our relationships.
We notice what confirms it. We overlook what contradicts it. We may pursue unavailable people, tolerate painful behavior, or feel strangely uninterested in love that is safe and consistent.
In this way, the wound can become an inner prophecy:
Wound → Belief → Identity → Relationship Pattern
This does not mean anyone consciously chooses to be harmed, and it is never about blaming someone for what was done to them. It means the wounded identity is drawn toward what feels familiar—even when the familiar is suffering.
What we often call a need for attention is really the wounded heart’s longing to be seen, chosen, valued, and loved.
But the outer relationship cannot permanently heal an inner belief. The healing must begin within. When the root belief changes, the filter changes. And when the filter changes, we can finally recognize and receive a different kind of love.

The relationship pattern didn’t begin with the relationship.
It began with an experience.
EXPERIENCE → COGNITION → IDENTITY → RELATIONSHIP → “PROOF”
Something happened.
You formed a belief about what it meant about you.
“I’m not enough.”
“I’ll be left.”
“I have to earn love.”
“My needs are too much.”
Over time, that belief becomes an identity — and from that identity, we make choices.
Then the relationship produces the very experience that seems to prove the original belief was true.
And the circle begins again.
But this is where consciousness changes everything:
WITNESS → DISSOLVE → CHOOSE AGAIN
You are not doomed to repeat the relationship.
But you cannot simply talk yourself out of an identity that was formed beneath conscious thought.
You have to meet it where it lives.
Witness it.
Dissolve the lie.
And begin choosing from the truth of who you are.
Reflection:
What did an early painful experience teach you to believe about who you are in love?

The question is not simply:

“Why do I keep choosing the wrong person?”

The deeper question is:

“Who am I being when this person feels like love?”

An early experience of abandonment, invisibility, being used or receiving inconsistent love can quietly become a belief:

“I am not enough.”
“I am not safe.”
“I must earn love.”

That belief becomes a small identity—the self organized around getting externally what it does not believe already exists within.

Then intensity feels like intimacy. Inconsistency feels familiar. Peace may even feel empty.

Every painful result appears to prove the original lie, and the cycle begins again.

But you are not broken, and you are not doomed to repeat the relationship.

The way out is not simply thinking differently. It is consciously witnessing the pattern, meeting the wound where it lives, dissolving the false identity and choosing again from the truth of who you are.

PART 3 OF 3: WHY DO WE STAY IN SUFFERING?

In Part 1, we saw that intensity is not intimacy. In Part 2, we followed the wound as it became a belief, an identity, a choice and finally a result.

Now we come to the deeper question: If suffering hurts, why do we continue returning to it?

Because the mind often experiences familiarity as safety.

The abandonment may be painful, but it is known. The longing may be exhausting, but it is familiar. Even the belief “I am not enough” can become an identity we unconsciously protect.

When we stop feeding that identity, we may experience a period of withdrawal. The old pattern calls us back—not because it is good for us, but because it is familiar.

Healing requires courage, commitment and the willingness to remain present while the false identity dissolves.

You are not the wound. You are not the belief. You are the beautiful Self that remains when the lie is gone.

Suffering is not always caused by what happened.

Often, it comes from the meaning the mind created about what happened:

“I was abandoned because I am not worthy.”
“I was unseen because I do not matter.”
“I was not chosen because I am not enough.”

The experience ended—but the identity formed around it continued living, choosing and creating from the original wound.

This is why changing the person or circumstance does not always end the suffering. The outer story changes, but the inner lie remains.

You are not broken. You are not your wound—and you are not the identity created from it.

Witness the pattern. Dissolve the lie. Choose again.

What painful experience are you still using as proof of who you believe you are?
