Let’s talk about what a doula really is.

Because somewhere along the way, the role got simplified into something it was never meant to be.
A doula is not just someone who shows up when the baby is coming.

A doula is not a luxury.
And a doula is definitely not “extra.”
A doula is support. Real support.
We are advocates when a mother doesn’t feel heard.
We are steady when emotions are high.

We are informed so we can help you make informed decisions.
We are present in moments where fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability try to take over.
And historically, this is how it has always been.
Before hospitals, before systems, women leaned on women. There was always someone in the room… guiding, encouraging, protecting, and reminding her of her strength.

That is the foundation of doula work.
This is about making sure no woman walks into motherhood feeling alone, unseen, or unheard.
You deserve support.
Not just physically, but emotionally and mentally too.
