Our gentle flow at Dahlia yesterday did not disappoint! The birds showed up, the sunshine, and a soft breeze. What better way to start our day than surrounded by nature and good energy?
As always, I began class with an opportunity to set an intention. I offered the intention of gentle growth…not striving, not forcing, but simply allowing ourselves to unfold exactly as we are.
I read the passage: Nature doesn’t rush. The flowers bloom in their own time. The tree grows season by season, rooted deeply while reaching toward the light. Today, perhaps we can offer ourselves that same grace.
We moved through our asana practice with grace and ease, not rushing or trying to prove anything to ourself or others. In my true form, I offered extensions to those that wanted a more powerful flow, and modifications to those who wanted a more gentle approach.
Before our cooldown and stretch, I offered everyone the opportunity to step away from their mats and place their feet on the earth…allowing the ground to absorb what’s no longer serving them. We moved through a series of qigong, somatic movements and then stood tall with our eyes closed in tadasana, mountain pose. When I say everyone was in it, they were in it!!
A huge thank you to Brittany at for offering her beautiful venue for our class! 🌷🌻🌷
And stay tuned…we’ll announce another date in the fall once temps begin to cool.
