Does your home ever feel like one long list of things waiting for you?

Mail to open.
Laundry to fold.
A charger searching for an outlet.
A drawer to organize.
A project you still haven’t finished.

When every surface reminds us of something that needs to be handled, it can be difficult to feel completely at rest—even when we are technically relaxing.

So here is a small Feng Shui experiment:

Choose one place in your home where nothing is allowed to demand your attention.

It might be a chair beside a window, a small table, a corner of your bedroom or even one beautifully clear section of a countertop.

No paperwork.
No unfinished projects.
No devices waiting to be charged.
No objects silently asking you to make a decision.

Leave it beautifully empty—or add one object that makes you exhale.

🎋 A flower.
🎋 A favorite photograph.
🎋 A candle.
🎋 Something meaningful from nature.

Feng Shui isn’t always about rearranging an entire room or adding something new. Sometimes it is about noticing what your environment continually asks of you—and intentionally creating a space that asks for nothing.

Your home should offer you at least one place where you are not behind, responsible or needed.

Just one place to be.

Where could you create your own “no-demand” zone?

Somewhere along the way, “You can do anything” quietly became “You should do everything.”

Build the career. Manage the home. Remember the appointments. Anticipate everyone’s needs. Carry the emotional weight. Keep the relationships functioning—and somehow remain calm, grateful and beautifully put together while doing it.

Being capable is a gift.

But competence can become a trap when everyone begins mistaking it for unlimited capacity.

Many women aren’t simply tired from having too much to do. They are exhausted from carrying the mental load, emotional labor and invisible responsibility of making sure everything—and everyone—continues to function.

🎋 A few questions worth considering:

When did asking for help begin to feel like failure?

Are you receiving genuine partnership—or simply delegating tasks you still have to manage?

Who cares for the woman everyone else depends upon?

In this Women’s Wisdom conversation, I explore the cultural pressure placed upon modern women and the difference between domination and true cooperation—drawing inspiration from Riane Eisler’s philosophy of partnership.

Because creating work-life balance isn’t always about becoming more efficient.

Sometimes it requires changing the way responsibility, power and care are shared.

As many of you know, balance is my favorite word—and it is at the very heart of Feng Shui.

Perhaps the future isn’t asking women to become better at doing everything.

Perhaps it is asking all of us to work together differently.

Imagine trying to understand your entire Western astrology birth chart using only your Sun sign.

You might know you are a Ta**us, Scorpio or Aquarius—but your Moon, Rising sign, planetary placements and houses add layers that your Sun sign alone cannot reveal.

Chinese Astrology works in a similar way.

The two systems are different, but the principle is familiar: your Chinese zodiac animal is an important starting point—not your entire energetic identity.

Saying, “I’m a Dragon,” “I’m a Rabbit,” or “I’m a Horse” is a little like saying, “I’m a Libra.”

It tells us something meaningful—but there is so much more to discover.

Your complete BaZi Chinese Astrology chart is created from the year, month, day and hour of your birth. These become your Four Pillars, with each one revealing another dimension of your life:

🎋 Early experiences and ancestral influences
🎋 Career, parental influences and personal empowerment
🎋 Your inner identity and relationship patterns
🎋 Children, legacy and your future direction

Have you ever read the description of your Chinese zodiac animal and thought, “Well, that doesn’t sound entirely like me”?

The description may not be wrong. It may simply be incomplete.

Just as a Western astrology natal chart moves beyond your Sun sign, a BaZi birth chart moves beyond your year animal—offering a more personal understanding of your strengths, patterns, relationships, life chapters and energetic timing.

🎥 In the full YouTube video, “What Your 4 Pillars Reveal About Your Life,” I explain what each BaZi pillar represents—and why you are so much more than your Chinese zodiac animal.

Anger has a terrible publicist.

We are often taught to swallow it, fear it—or spray it all over someone else.

But what if you could sit with your anger without suppressing it, judging it or handing it the steering wheel?

In this one-minute guided visualization, I share “Sitting Through Anger,” a mental imagery exercise from Dr. Jerry Epstein’s book Healing Visualizations: Creating Health Through Imagery.

The practice invites you to see your anger, guide it out of your body, decide what you want to do with it—and then fill the space it occupied with an image that feels peaceful, healing and entirely your own.

Because anger itself is not the enemy.

The moment we lose our ability to choose what happens next is where the trouble begins.

🌹 Try this mental imagery exercise the next time anger arises. You don’t need to argue with the emotion or pretend it isn’t there. You can acknowledge it, work with it and allow it to transform.

Sometimes, one intentional minute is enough to interrupt an automatic reaction and return you to yourself.

🎧 You may also wish to record the exercise in your own voice so it is available whenever you need it.
