Payton Scott Montague

Payton Scott Montague, 70, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2026.

Born on May 8, 1956, in Newport, North Carolina, Payton lived a life marked by faith, compassion, humor, and an unwavering desire to help others. He was passionate about learning and followed his calling with determination throughout every season of his life.

Payton attended Florida State University, where he studied Musical Theatre, before earning a Master of Science in Mental Health and Marriage & Family Counseling from Stetson University. He spent 32 years with 3M Unitek before answering a deeper calling to become a mental health therapist. As a counselor through Lutheran Counseling Services in St. Petersburg, he devoted himself to walking alongside others with empathy, wisdom, and genuine care. He believed every person deserved to be heard, valued, and given hope.

His faith was the foundation of his life. A devoted member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in St. Petersburg, Payton loved the Lord and sought to reflect Christ’s love in the way he cared for those around him.

Outside of work, Payton was happiest surrounded by family. He loved being out on the water as captain of the family’s beloved “Mental Floss” boats, playing guitar, reading, enjoying a good movie or cigar, and, perhaps most famously, telling dad jokes that never failed to make everyone laugh-whether they wanted to or not. His quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and gift for entertaining brought joy to countless people.

Those who knew Payton will remember him as passionate, empathetic, and genuinely funny. He had a rare ability to make people feel seen, safe, and deeply loved. His hugs became legendary among those closest to him-a place of comfort, reassurance, and unconditional love. They are a gift his family will treasure forever.

Payton was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Kathryn Montague; his brother Samuel Montague; and the many loved ones who welcomed him into eternity.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pam Montague; his daughters, Lindsay Renninger and Vanessa (Mark) Watson; and his cherished grandchildren, Nathan Rennigner, Jacob Renninger, Eden Watson, Jace Watson, and Chance Watson, all of whom brought immeasurable joy to his life.

Although Payton was unable to fulfill his wish of donating after his passing, his family finds comfort in knowing that his legacy of generosity will continue through memorial gifts supporting mental health in our community. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Lutheran Counseling Services. Through these gifts, his family hopes to continue his lifelong mission of caring for others.

Gangadhararao Chapalamadugu

Dr. Gangadhararao Chapalamadugu, “CG", “Tata”, 79, living in St. Petersburg, FL passed away peacefully July 31, 2026 at St. Anthony’s Hospital after spending the day with his family at his bedside. Born and raised in Ramudupalem, India he attended medical college. A year before graduating, he married his wife Prameela with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. They moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1972 and pioneered the way for friends and family to the US, and he established his medical practice in Bradenton, FL in 1977.

Gangadhararao is survived by his wife Prameela Chapalamadugu; siblings Satyanarayana Chapalamadugu and his wife Mani, Koteswararao and his wife Vijaya, and Nageswararao and his wife Anupama; sons Rajeev Chapalamadugu and his wife Cathy, Sandeep Chapalamadugu Rao and his wife Nicole, Prateek Chapalamadugu and his wife Nancy; grandchildren Jayden, Kayla, Lena, Ella, Chloe, Caysen, and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

CG was a sports enthusiast and excelled at playing tennis. He was gifted with an ear for music and enjoyed singing songs and bhajans with his friends and family and would sing to his grandchildren. Dr. Chapalamadugu became a successful and caring pulmonary/critical care physician at Manatee Hospital serving the Bradenton community for over 30 years. CG was very spirited at social gatherings and loved to tell stories and make jokes. His melodic voice, opinions stated as fact, and charismatic, loving character will be missed by all who knew him.

Gangadhararao’s viewing and puja service will be held Thursday, August 6 at 10 am at the Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home 7820 38th Ave North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710.

Dharmattie "Gaitree" Coomar

Dharmattie “Gaitree” Coomar, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Gaitree was born on January 6, 1944, in De Kinderen, West Coast Demerara, Guyana, to Phulmattie Indarjit and Sahadeo Sewrathan. After the passing of her father at a young age, she was raised in Bel Air, Georgetown, Guyana, by her beloved grandparents, Mai and Papa, surrounded by her siblings and relatives.

In 1973, Gaitree immigrated to New York as a single mother with her four young children, determined to build a better future for her family. In 1989, she moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and later settled in Largo, Florida, where she spent the rest of her life close to those she loved.

Gaitree will be remembered for her strength, kindness, faith, and love for her family. She enjoyed caring for others and always welcomed family and friends with an open heart. Her generosity, compassion, and unwavering love touched many lives and will never be forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Phulmattie Indarjit and Sahadeo Sewrathan; her grandparents, Mai and Papa; her stepfather, Lalchand Ramlagan; her first husband, Ahi Barran; her husband, Henderpaul "Paul" Coomar; and her siblings, Savitri, Mac, Sursat, Premnauth, Moti, Victorine, Albert, and Adeline.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Vijay, Kamla, Shobe (Nezam), and Annie; her children through marriage, Satie, Kamie (Rick), Mike, Tony (Devi), Peter (Claire), Roma (Dan), and Ravi (Priscilla); her siblings, Badge, Lalita, Buddy, Ivy, George, Philbert, Tex, Cliven, and Krishna; her grandchildren, Gary (Samantha), Nick (Jade), Sean, Anil, Alexa, Celine, Adam, Aamir, Haana (Hunter), Devin, Ryan, and Shoba; her grandchildren through marriage, Anil, Avin, Richard, Chris, Geetanjali, Mala, Lokesh, Nitesh, Mikhil, Matthew, and Gabrielle; her great-grandchildren, Giyana, Lucy, and Jovan; her great-grandchildren through marriage, Leilani, Harrison, Kaya, and Liam; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Gaitree's love, strength, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Clara Dolores Abad

Clara Dolores Abad, 79, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 5th, 2026 at East Bay Rehabilitation Center in Clearwater.

Dolores was born on August 19th, 1946 in Athens, Clarke, Georgia, the daughter of Marcelo Ygnacio and Virginia Rozella Ygnacio (née Beavers).

Dolores graduated from Dunedin High School, then went on to obtain her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from St. Petersburg College and the Tomlinson School of Nursing.

Dolores married Victor George Abad in July of 1966, and they spent their lives together in Tampa and Clearwater, Florida. Victor passed away on January 27th, 2014, surrounded by his family. They had one child, Evelyn Victoria Dickinson.

Dolores served as a pediatric nurse, a Guardian Ad Litem, and an elder care nurse for many years. She also held the positions of Estimating Manager, Director Special Projects for a major printing company and General Manager of a medium-sized printing company, both in the Tampa area. During this time, she served as President of the Florida Suncoast Club of Printing House Craftsmen. For the last 20 years of her career, she worked as a Clinical Analyst/Nurse Auditor for HCA Healthcare until her retirement in 2020.

Dolores enjoyed and valued her community at Faith United Church of Christ in Dunedin. She loved music of all kinds, from rock to Celtic to classical to jazz, and especially loved to attend live performances. She was an avid reader and aficionado of Impressionist paintings, and enjoyed hosting gatherings of friends at her home. She liked to drive fast, and had a wicked sense of humor. She and Victor often visited Orlando and shared a love of all things Disney. She also adored and pampered her Chocolate Labradors Lady Godiva, Lady Godiva II, and Lady Godiva, Jr.

Remaining to cherish Dolores’s memory are her daughter Evelyn Dickinson, brother Riley Jordan, daughter-in-law Melissa Walker Dickinson, long time friend Gail Carolan, Melissa’s parents Mary and Phil Dickinson, nieces and nephews on her sister’s side along with their families, as well as many of Victor’s family members.

Preceding Dolores in death are her parents Marcelo and Virginia, husband Victor, sister Rosemary Haslett, and sister-in-law Jeanne Jordan.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dolores’s name may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society of the United States.

Gary Kilroy

Gary E. Kilroy, 83, of South Pasadena, died on Friday July 3, 2026, at Mid Pinellas Hospice Care Center. He was born in Schenectady, NY, and came to the area from there after graduating from Linton High in 1961. Mr. Kilroy, a University of Florida master degree graduate, was an administrator, financial aid specialist, counselor and teacher in Pinellas County Schools, retiring after 30 years of service in public education. As a professional educator, Mr. Kilroy served in many leadership roles, including President of Suncoast Personnel and Guidance Association (SPGA), President of Pinellas Adult and Vocational Education Association (PAVE), and a director on the board of Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) educational fraternity. He became an active realtor in 1996 and specialized in condominium marketing and sales for 10 years. Mr. Kilroy volunteered many hours to the communities in which he lived. He served as a volunteer firefighter in South Pasadena and Treasure Island for a total of 30 years and served on the City of Treasure Island Code Enforcement Board. He served on the board of directors of the Capri Harbor Condominium Association for 17 years. He volunteered at fund raising events for All Children's Hospital. Mr. Kilroy was a member of the University of Florida Alumni Association; national-state-local education associations; and national-state-local Realtor organizations. He enjoyed visiting foreign countries and has traveled extensively with his wife, Verna, throughout Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, China, Russia, Central America, Canada, the Caribbean Islands and the United States. For 20 years, the Kilroys lived in Boone, NC during the summer months where Gary hiked weekly along the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Appalachian Trail and the Mountain-to-Sea Trail. Gary was his own person, unique in many ways. He was contributing, caring, loving, joking and funny. He was predeceased by his father, Ed Kilroy, former South Pasadena fire chief, and his mother, Bernice M. Kilroy. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Verna, and serveral cousins in Schenectady, NY. Gary chose to be cremated and, at his request, there will be no service.

James Carroll Trent

James Carroll Trent, affectionately known as "J.T.," passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, at the age of 83 in Weeki Wachee, Florida.

Born on April 11, 1943, in Logan, West Virginia, Jim was raised in Logan and carried his Appalachian roots with pride throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Cole Trent; his sister, Janet Kincaid; and his brother, Bill Harold Trent and wife Edith.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Esme Trent of Weeki Wachee; his son, Anthony Carroll Trent of St. Petersburg, Florida; his grandson, Ronald James Trent of St. Petersburg; his sister, Linda Lois Adkins of Clovis, New Mexico; and his brother, Dana T. Trent and wife Carole of Dayton, Ohio.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Jim served his country honorably before beginning a distinguished career in the emerging field of computer technology. Following his military service, he worked briefly for IBM before joining Florida Power Corporation, where he built a remarkable 35-year career. Jim retired as Director of Computer Services following Florida Power Corporation's acquisition by Carolina Power & Light in 2000.

Not one to remain idle, Jim continued his professional journey with BayCare Health System, where he served as Director of Computer Services until his retirement in 2005.

Throughout his career, Jim became known as a mentor and advocate for countless professionals entering the computer and information technology fields. Many former colleagues from Florida Power Corporation fondly recall how he provided opportunities, encouragement, and guidance that helped shape their careers. Among the many stories shared over the years are memories of J.T. riding his motorcycle through both the Florida Power Corporation and Carolina Power & Light data centers—a reflection of his spirited personality and unforgettable sense of humor.

Outside of work, Jim enjoyed target shooting, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driving his beloved Volkswagen and Datsun 280Z, and spending time with his cherished puppies. He graduated from Logan High School and later attended St. Petersburg Junior College.

Jim will be remembered for his leadership, generosity, adventurous spirit, and the lasting impact he had on both his family and the many people whose lives and careers he influenced.

Jim will be laid to rest at Bay Pines National Cemetery where he will receive military honors for his service in the USAF.

Wanda Ann Hunter Stallings

Wanda Ann Hunter Stallings, 91, of St. Petersburg, passed away on July 1, 2026, at her home with her daughters Susan and Shirley at her side. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Marlow Hunter and James M. Hunter, Jr. She was preceded in death by her brother Glenn Marshall Hunter.

Wanda is survived by her daughters Shirley Stallings, Susan Soltis (Husband - Michael), Ann Dennett (Husband - Terry), her son Steven Stallings (Finance’ - Celeste Cox) and Steven’s daughters, her granddaughters, Stephanie and Brittany, and her four great-grandchildren.

Wanda proudly worked for the Federal Government for 30 years, primarily with the Veterans Administration. She was a proud patriot who loved her country and the American Flag. She was a magnigifenct musician, playing the piano and saxphone. She passed on this love of playing music to her daugthers. She enjoyed crocheting for family and friends and loved cooking, music, gardening, birds, and flowers.

She lived a life of resilience, tenacity, and had a deep love for her family and pets. We will continue to celebrate her life and honor her legacy with love.

Salvatore Ingrande

Ingrande, Salvatore (Sal) Joseph, 70, of St. Petersburg passed away unexpectedly on June 29. Born in 1956, in San Diego, California to Eileen Marie and Leonard Joseph Ingrande, he moved to the East Coast as a young boy and graduated from Dartmouth High School in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. He followed his family's generational legacy as a commercial fisherman, earning his captain's license while honing his talents as a carpenter and craftsman. He was as likely to be seen mending nets by hand as he was negotiating with international seafood buyers. In his downtime, from childhood, he was always on the golf course; first as a hardworking caddy, then as a dedicated amateur golfer who could be found (and heard) over the years at Mangrove Bay Golf Course and the Vinoy Golf Club. In the mid 1970s, he moved with his family to St. Pete, Florida, where he met his wife Karyn. They were married in 1979 and started their family in 1980. The Ingrandes moved to the close-knit waterfront neighborhood of Tanglewood in 1988, blessing their children and grandchildren with endless opportunities to make mischief in and on the water.

As the captain of the F/V Eileen Marie and a member of the Diane Marie Fishing leadership team, Sal was a cornerstone of the Atlantic commercial tuna fishing industry. An entrepreneur like his father, he remained heavily involved in the seafood industry in the Northeast for decades after retiring from fishing.

Sal was an extroverted family man with deep-rooted loyalty to his entire extended family, from his beloved godparents Sal and Lucille Freitas in San Diego to his siblings and their children and grandchildren. He loved food, relished eating frog legs and chicken feet, could not say no to candy or ice cream, and made a mean root beer float.

Despite all the time he spent at sea, or perhaps because of it, Sal rarely boated for fun. But he had no shortage of passions. Among too many hobbies to count, he loved collecting things, cooking for his family, golfing with his friends at the Vinoy, watching football and going on adventures with his wife, napping on the couch, and perhaps above all — making people laugh (at any cost). Sal became a grandfather at 50 and enjoyed many milestones and holidays with his grandsons over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eileen and Leonard Ingrande, and his elder sibling Salvatore Joseph. Sal is survived by his beloved wife Karyn Ingrande; children Maria Ingrande Mora, Nicholas (Katy) Ingrande, and Andrea (Tim) Ingrande; grandchildren Simon and Maxwell Mora and Everett Ingrande; siblings Chris (Dawn) Ingrande and Diane (Sam) Maiolo, and his adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Sal's family will hold a private celebration of his life, but encourages you to do something you love in his honor. Better yet, be a smartass while you're doing it.

Susan "Susie" Robertson

In Loving Memory of Susan “Susie” Robertson

With love and sadness, we announce Susan “Susie” Robertson passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 80.

Susie will be remembered for her kindness, compassion for others, and as a loving wife and mother. Volunteering in the community throughout her life was important to her, most recently at Meals on Wheels and at First Presbyterian Church.

A lifelong resident of St. Petersburg, Susie is lovingly survived by her husband of 56 years Rick; her children Lisa and Julie; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Edna McAninch and sister Barbara Hensley.

A visitation and remembrance for family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 19, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm at First Presbyterian Church St. Petersburg in the Chapel. A private family interment will be at Bay Pines the following week. Richard F. Vonder Haar

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Frank Vonder Haar on June 19, 2026, at the age of 96.

Richard was born on January 5, 1930, in Hamilton, Ohio to Carl and Frances Vonder Haar. He spent his childhood and teenage years in Hamilton and was enlisted in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953.

He married Marilyn Brummer on September 29, 1951, in Hamilton, and in 1953 they moved to St. Petersburg, Fl. They had one daughter Linda, and one son Gary.

Richard worked for the United States Postal Service and retired after a 34-year career. He was a member of the Clearwater Coin Club.

Richard and Marilyn loved to travel. They visited all 48 lower states, 4 trips to Alaska, and the Canadian Providences. They had been on 30 cruises, traveled throughout most of Europe, Central and South America. His love of traveling took him on a solo trip to Hong Kong, Korea and China. Favorite places to visit were the wine country in Napa Valley California, Las Vegas Nevada, and Gatlinburg Tennessee.

Richard is pre-deceased by Marilyn, his wife of 73 years, and his brother Thomas. He is survived by his daughter Linda and husband Bruce Balcombe of Palm Harbor, son Gary of Seminole, granddaughter Meghan and husband Mickey Mitchell and great-granddaughters Holly and Madilyn all of Palm Harbor. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Dorothy Vonder Haar of Santa Rosa, California and nephews Thomas Vonder Haar of Antioch, California and Jon Vonder Haar of Windsor, California.

Our Papa was a wonderful, generous, loving man and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Mass to be held July 1, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 11565 66th Ave No Seminole, Fl.
