Self worth ✨️

How do you determine your self worth?

Are you still holding onto words that have been said? Or ways you've been made to feel over the years?

Do you define yourself by your past all that you have been or done?

Your self worth should not be determined by your past, nor how anything or anyone makes you feel about yourself.

I think we have all done and still fall victim to this. I know at times, I very much do this, too.

But we have to push past those negative feelings, push past those words we have heard or felt right down to our core. Ignore the words in our heads.

I want you to know, as you read this, that you are an absolutely amazing human being, with such worth to this world and the people around you, those that value you for who you truly are.

Its time to clear out the things and the people who dont allow you to see your true worth.

You are so strong, beautiful and full of power.

Something I do myself, and have tried to extend to my children, today, I want you to take 5 minutes for yourself.

Look at yourself in the mirror.

Take a deep breath.

And look at yourself. I mean truly look.

Now tell yourself, in your head or outloud.

5 things that you like or love about how you look.

5 things about what you like or love about the person you are.

And then, think about the place in life you want to be. Visualize how and where you want to be in the next 5 years.

Smile at yourself, and tell yourself you love you.

Now this might seem silly. You may even roll your eyes, but if you do this often, believe me, it will work.

Eventually you wont need to do this, because you will feel it in your heart.

In this house now, we have no standing long mirrors, which I have hated. However, you know what I dont do anymore?

I dont change my clothes a thousand times. Because I dont tell myself I look fat and disgusting and pick at myself in the mirror.

I get dressed in what I want and I go about my day.

Its little things that help us know our worth.

We aren't defined by our past, our actions, or those from others, nor are we defined by how we look.

We are defined by how we think and feel about our own self.

Thats what is important. Remember...

You are beautiful, inside and out.
