Dimitric Rene Mosley Sr.
Dimitric "Dee" Rene Mosley Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, in Salinas, California. Born Dimitric Rene Mosley on December 18, 1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Renell and Senora L. Mosley.
Dee was raised in Louisville, KY, where he graduated from Jefferson High School in 1976 and immediately enlisted in the United States Army. His military service took him to South Korea before he was stationed at Fort Ord in California, where he met the love of his life, Candy. They went on to share 42 years of marriage, building a life and family filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
Dee was a lifelong fan of the San Francisco 49ers, and he could often be seen listening to games on the radio or cheering for them on the TV. He had a bright smile, a great sense of humor, and a personality that could light up a room. Those who knew him will remember his ability to make people laugh, his unique sense of humor, and most of all, the love that he had for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Renell and Senora L. Mosley, and his baby sister, Lisa Ann Mosley.
Dee leaves behind his devoted wife of 42 years, Candy Mosley; his loving children: Kevin (Tanesha) Burnett, Dimitric Mosley Jr., Araminta (Skyler) Sampson, Sonora (Randy) Castillo, and Donte Mosley. His grandchildren, Nyesha, Haven, Joe, Kenny, Korea, Tremaine, Greyson, Armani, Kyrie, and Amiri, as well as 6 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings, Pat, Fran, Marie, Don, and Aaron, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Dee's greatest legacy is the family he leaves behind. His life touched many people, but his love, laughter, and memories will live on most through the generations of his family. His bright smile and humorous spirit will never be forgotten.
He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life honoring Dee will be announced by the family at a later date.
