Body positivity means your worth and value are not determined by your body size, your weight, or your appearance.

And that remains true, always. 🤍

GLP-1s can quiet the drive to eat.

And food noise.

Both are very real.

But what happens when we turn that volume back up?

If you want to eventually taper or stop medication, understanding why you were eating in the first place matters.

Because the biological change in appetite is only part of the story.

The goal isn’t the problem❕

It’s believing that your life will finally feel better once you reach it.

“I’ll be happier when I lose 20 pounds.”

“I’ll feel confident when I fit into those jeans.”

But what happens when you finally get there?

If your mind has been focused entirely on the FUTURE of “arriving,” you miss the joy, wins, and satisfaction available to you right now.

And if you want to maintain your results, there has to be some joy in the behaviors that are getting you there.

You can have goals.
You can want to change your body.
You can work toward something.

But don’t postpone your happiness until you arrive.

Start building that NOW.

Food addiction.

❕Highly controversial topic❕

If you feel like you “can’t stop” eating certain foods, it’s easy to assume you must be addicted to food.

But I think there’s a more useful question:

What is food doing for you?

When we understand the job food is doing, we can start to uncross those food + mood wires.

Food can just be food again. You can stop giving your power away.

Even when that food is ice cream. 🍦

Research note: A 2025 Cell Metabolism study by Darcey et al. found no significant post-ingestive striatal dopamine response after participants consumed an ultra-processed milkshake. The authors concluded the response was likely substantially smaller than that produced by many addictive drugs.
