Mayaβs Love encourages every eligible voter to get informed and make a plan before Election Day.
Here is how to get ready:
π Check your voter registration status at VoteTexas.gov. If you still need to register, the Texas deadline is October 5, 2026.
π Review your sample ballot through VoteTexas.gov or your county elections website. Your ballot may include federal, state, county, judicial, school, and other community races.
β¨ Get to know the candidates. Visit their official websites, read trusted local reporting, attend community forums, and compare their experience and positions on the issues that matter to you. Look beyond social media and verify information through more than one reliable source.
π Write down your choices or bring a sample ballot for personal use. Remember that phones cannot be used inside the voting room.
π Find your polling location and check the hours before leaving home.
β¨ Review Texas voter ID requirements and prepare an acceptable form of identification.
π Consider voting early. Early voting in Texas runs from October 19 through October 30, 2026.
π¬ If you plan to vote by mail, review the eligibility requirements and application process as soon as possible. The application deadline is October 23, 2026.
