Artist Statement
My work is an exploration of mindful beauty and intentional living, born from a personal
journey where art served as a vital practice for self-care and grounding. I believe that the
creative process is not just a profession, but a transformative tool that quite literally saved my
life. My mission is to weave together my passion for the arts with a dedication to helping others
and spreading mental health awareness.
As a contemplative photographer, I am drawn to the ephemeral nature of our existence.
Photography allows me to capture the sublime in the "blink of an eye"—those fleeting, small
moments of beauty found within the ordinary that we so often miss. Whether focusing on
moody botanical textures, the intricate geometry of a spider web, or the weathered history of
a rusted lock, I aim to document the world through a lens of presence
This fascination with the ephemeral extends into my cosmic paintings. To me, space
represents the ultimate memory; what we observe is often just a beautiful, fading echo of what
currently exists. My practice is inherently fluid and inspiration-driven, allowing me to bounce
between macro photography, painting, and mixed media photo transfers using reclaimed
materials like dictionary pages and recycled paper.
I create what I am called to do, guided by the belief that art can be a sanctuary. Through my
shop, Maitri Moments, I strive to share pieces—from hand-knotted malas to contemplative
imagery—that invite others to find their own sense of peace and intentionality in the world.
