One of my favorite texts to receive...

A patient's husband reached out today after her Dysport treatment and said:

"She got carded."

She happens to be 42.

Did Dysport magically make her 21 again? Of course not. 😊

But when we soften frown lines and restore a more rested, approachable appearance, people often notice that something looks different—they just can't always put their finger on it.

That's always my goal: natural, refreshed results that still look like **you**.

As we head into late spring and start thinking about summer, it’s a good reminder to check in on our own health too—not just everyone else’s.

When we think about menopause, most of us think about hot flashes or mood changes…

But one of the most important (and often overlooked) changes is bone health.

As estrogen declines, bone loss can accelerate—often without noticeable symptoms at first.

A large study of over 137,000 women found that women who started hormone therapy earlier after menopause had a lower risk of osteoporosis and fractures later in life.

Hormone therapy isn’t right for everyone, but this highlights something important:

👉 Timing and awareness matter.

If you’re in your 40s or 50s, this is a great time to start learning about your options and thinking about long-term health—not just symptom relief.

Perimenopause is… honestly a little Kafkaesque.

At 2:17am, in a heatwave clearly not mine,
I realized: this whole thing feels Kafka by design.

No handbook, no map, no logical track—
just symptoms arriving with zero feedback.

One minute you’re fine, calm, holding your tea,
the next you’re in tears like, “What is wrong with me?”
Then sweating, then freezing, then losing your train—
of thought… wait, what was I saying again?

Somewhere a clerk (with a stamp and a grin)
is filing your symptoms and ushering them in:

“HOT FLASH—approved.”
“MOOD SWING—go through.”
“MEMORY… denied. We’ll get back to you.”

And there you are standing, mid-kitchen, mid-life,
holding a snack and questioning life.

But listen, from me—as your NP and friend—
this strange, winding story does start to make sense.

You’re not going crazy. You’re not falling apart.
This is your physiology playing abstract art.

I’ve helped many women step out of this maze—
with science, with care, and a few laughs on the way.

So if you’re deep in this chapter and feeling unsure,
you don’t have to wander—you do have a cure.

Spring Break can actually be one of the **easiest weeks to schedule your own appointments** while routines are a little different.

I realized my **Thursday schedule is very open**, so I opened extra appointments for:

• hormone management
• perimenopause / menopause symptoms
• medical weight loss
