Pain can be part of many different conditions and it doesnât always look the way we expect. It can be visible or invisible. Constant or unpredictable. And even people with the same diagnosis can experience pain very differently.
Thatâs why awareness matters.
Awareness helps people feel seen and believed. It builds understanding and advocacy. It brings attention to the need for continued research, and reminds us that we canât always tell what someone is managing simply by looking at them.
This September, letâs recognize the many different experiences of pain. Letâs listen to, believe, and support the people living with pain.
