⚠️Oxygen Safety: Be Prepared for Power Outages⚠️
If you or a loved one uses oxygen equipment, it’s important to have a plan in case the electricity goes out!
• Use your backup oxygen tanks immediately
• Make sure tanks are stored upright and secured
• Keep tanks away from heat, flames, or smoking
• Conserve oxygen by following your prescribed flow rate
• Call 911 if you feel short of breath or your oxygen supply is running low
Prepare ahead of time:
• Always keep portable tanks filled
• Know how long your backup supply lasts
• Inform your electric provider if you depend on medical equipment
