Most of us pick music for our breathing sessions by vibe. A genre that fits the theme, or a song we already love.
Hereās the thing: the body responds to the shape of a sound before any of that registers.
A square wave and a sine wave land in the body two different ways, at the exact same volume. One reads like a jackhammer. The other can loosen a throat in four seconds.
Most facilitators, teachers, and coaches never learn to tell the difference. They donāt even know how to look at a song in that amount of detail.
So sound rides along instead of doing real work in the room.
We ran this masterclass for in October for the first time. The plan was for 90 minutesā¦it ended up running over two hours, and everyone stuck around.
A retreat center owner walked away rethinking how he picks music for a room of forty. A performance coach started mapping out how to use sound to anchor a state for her athletes before competition.
Now thatās cool!
We are running The Sound of Sensation backā¦
āØLive with our homie SageradeāØ- Wednesday, July 15, 4pm PT / 7pm ETāØ- Live on Zoom, recording included if you canāt make it live
- Built for breath facilitators, yoga and meditation teachers, coaches, and bodyworkers.

Comment SOUND and weāll get you registered.
P.S. Tune in tomorrow morning at 9 AM PST for an Instagram Live where we will discuss what āsound of sensationā actually means with Sage.
