Is cupping safe on tattoos?

To date, I’ve never had a client report any concerns after cupping over a fully healed tattoo. In fact, many of my clients with lots of artwork are the ones who love cupping and deeper pressure the most.

That said, tattoos should always be fully healed before receiving bodywork. If you have a fresh tattoo, just let me know so we can avoid that area until it’s ready.

And if you’ve got some ink, come show me! I love hearing the stories behind each piece. Every tattoo has a story, and I’m here for all of them.

Last week was a rough one, crew. My endometriosis almost got the best of me. It’s a constant struggle between what my mind wants to do and what my body is actually capable of.

Being raised in a society that frowns upon sick days, rest still comes with a level of guilt for me. But then I remind myself of what Martha Beck says ⬆️

I listen to my body.
I do as she says.
Rest. Play. Thrive.

When Sadie gets to come to work with me, I love it!!!

Creating a calm, welcoming space for healing is one of my favorite parts of what I do, and having my sweet girl by my side every now and then makes the Zen Den feel even more special.

She isn’t in the office every day, but when she is, she’s all about greeting clients with a wagging tail before settling into her very important role of supervising naps, filtering energy, and letting out the occasional dramatic sigh.

Owning my own business is pretty awesome. Getting to bring Sadie with me every now and then is definitely one of the best perks.

Some days feel lighter than others, and today I’m feeling a little heaviness in the air. Whether that’s the current planetary alignments, the pace of life, or simply being human, I’m choosing not to fight it.

Instead, I’m coming back to this intention:

“I don’t need to have every answer today. I simply need to stay present, care for myself, and trust that clarity comes with calm.”

Whether the planets are working in your favor this Mindful Monday or you’re just navigating a full season of life, I think this intention still slaps.

Take a deep breath, soften your shoulders, and give yourself permission to be exactly where you are today. The answers don’t always come through force. Sometimes they arrive when we finally become still.

As a small business owner, I wear a lot of hats. One of those hats is social media marketing, which means I’m constantly gathering content.

Some days the ideas flow. Other days, life gets in the way or the energy just isn’t there, and that’s okay too.

The longer I work in holistic health, the more I realize the same lesson shows up everywhere.

Healing. Movement. Massage. Sourdough.

The more we try to force the process, the harder it becomes.

Once I stopped chasing perfection and started paying attention to how the dough felt instead of obsessing over every little detail, everything became so much more enjoyable.

There’s something really grounding about slowing down, getting your hands in the dough, and trusting the process.

Turns out bread teaches mindfulness.
