This is a great way to prep some delicious and healthy meals. Veggies all cut up and dressing either on the bottom to shake up or in a small container on top.

Here’s your reminder to read the ingredients! Sometimes I forget too when I’m in a hurry. Names don’t mean a thing…. FRESH Market….. doesn’t mean the food is fresh and WHOLE Foods doesn’t mean the food is whole.

There is often genius in humor and satire. This woman nails the challenge of the pull of sugar vs the knowledge of healthy eating. Made us laugh out loud and still find a message of health. Stay strong out there. Salads over cookies as much as you can handle 😃

Over 65 lbs LOST the right way!

A good friend found himself seriously overweight and in need of a change to help his overall health. He was an expert in obesity since it was his field of study and he worked with Bariatric surgeons all over the country and knows how bad carrying extra weight can be as we age. He also knew that crash diets are temporary and bad for you so he did not want to try to do a crash diet or a fad diet or do anything too dramatic at one time setting himself up for failure.

Instead, he took slow steps each week removing certain food groups that he knew were bad for him such as bagels one week, tortillas another week until all bread was eliminated including tortilla chips and stuff like that. Then he worked on getting rid of other snacks that were high density calories. As an example, he used to eat a lot of nuts which, although they’re good for you, they’re super high in calories so if you abuse that, which he was doing, he knew he needed to stop.

He began substituting much lower calorie higher fiber snacks into his diet, less meat, more fruits and veggies, added a daily smoothie, started having some vegan meals each week as well. All of this he did and focused on a daily workout of High Intensity Training to burn more calories. The combination of his efforts was a loss of 65 lbs!! Incredible success!

He told me that he is now working on his relationship with food, breaking bad habits of revolving relationships around food. He’s working on every component of good health and it is paying off big!

So simple yet delicious. This was one organic home grown tomato, one organic home grown cucumber, fresh basil from the garden, rice wine vinegar, balsamic glaze, salt, and pepper. Sometimes we add a little onion or some garlic but not today.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
From NIH.gov

HHH wanted to make sure everyone has the informed consent info from NIH website. We assume everyone is being given informed consent prior to any medical procedure and we want to always treat people with respect and the “love thy neighbor” approach so every individual has all the info to make informed decisions. According to NIH, CDC, FDA and most medical groups “Patient comprehension is a critical part of meeting medical ethics standards of informed consent.”

“The specific and significant COVID-19 risk of ADE (antibody-dependent enhancement ) should have been and should be prominently and independently disclosed to research subjects currently in vaccine trials, as well as those being recruited for the trials and future patients after vaccine approval, in order to meet the medical ethics standard of patient comprehension for informed consent.”
