I've talked about this with most of you over the past couple of weeks. Here's the official announcement:

Qi Time Acupuncture will be closing on June 30th.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your health journey. Your trust has meant the world to me, and I’m deeply grateful for the time we’ve shared together.

For those who would like to continue care, there are several talented acupuncturists in Silicon Valley, including the teams at Box Acupuncture, Lokahi Acupuncture, and Numo Acupuncture.

I’m closing Qi Time to make space for a new chapter: Aura Divina Wellness & Acu, which will focus on microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, and facial rejuvenation acupuncture.

If you’d like to learn more about these services, please reply to this with the word "Divina", and I’ll send a link for a free, virtual consultation when the new business is ready to open.

Thank you again for all of your trust.

Yours in health,

Sophia

Angels Landing is a legendary, strenuous 5.4-mile hike in Zion National Park, with 1,500 feet of elevation gain and a final half-mile chain section that requires a special permit. We didn’t hike the famous chains, but the view from Scout Lookout was spectacular (unless you have a horrendous fear of heights.)

We started under the direct desert sun, 86⁰ with 13% humidity, the concrete trail reflected the high desert heat back at us, and I was questioning my life choices.

This was my first real hiking adventure in several years, and my body was far from what I would have considered “trail ready.” But I kept walking. I took as many breaks as I needed, sipped water, practiced qigong in motion, and prayed to Mama Earth for strength to make it to the top.

By the time I reached Walter’s Wiggles, the famous series of 21 steep, tightly packed switchbacks, I understood why the trail has such a reputation. Every turn asked for more breath, more patience, more trust in my body. But once I stepped out of the beating sun and into the cool shade, I found my pace again.

Somewhere between the switchbacks, prayers, sweat, and second snack of the day, I realized something: my body was actually functioning.

I'd been on the Metabolic Reset Program for three weeks, and even though I had my doubts (anything with words like "reset" or "detox" gives me serious pause) I could FEEL the difference.

My hips and low back kept step. My neck and shoulders felt fine. My energy stayed steady. Aside from the occasional knee pain that Evil Bone Water handled quickly, my body felt surprisingly good.

I kept expecting to feel broken down, but instead, I felt capable.

When we finally reached Scout Lookout, the view was spectacular. But the feeling of accomplishment was even better.

I walked into Zion unsure if my body could carry me up that mountain.

I walked out, reminded that I'm stronger than I thought.

I'm not here to convince anyone, but if you're curious about what I've been doing differently, feel free to DM me.

Hello friends!

I’m not usually someone who shares personal things publicly, but I wanted to talk about something that honestly surprised me.

Two weeks ago, I started the Optavia metabolic reset program.

To be very clear: I had *a lot* of reservations about it. Packaged food, calorie restriction, “diet culture” vibes, it gave me flashbacks to early-2000s fad diets. I’ve spent years helping people move away from obsession with the scale and toward nourishment, strength, and sustainable health. I’ve worked hard to reject the kind of messaging that tells women we need to stay small, underfed, and disconnected from our bodies.

So when my partner started this program, I was skeptical.

But over the last two months, I watched him completely transform.

Many of you know he went through chemotherapy last year. Between the treatment, fatigue, inflammation, joint pain, and weight gain, his body had been through a lot. Watching his energy return has honestly been incredible. He’s back to martial arts training, his pain levels are dramatically lower, and he’s down about 33 pounds but more importantly, he *feels* like himself again.

That’s what got my attention.

Last year was also extremely stressful for me. Alongside supporting him, both of my parents experienced serious health crises, and my own health started slipping. My labs came back borderline pre-diabetic, my inflammatory markers were elevated, and the fatigue & brain fog were getting harder to ignore.

So I decided to try the program myself before judging it further.

And honestly? I’ve been pleasantly surprised.

Two weeks in:
• My mind feels clearer
• My focus is noticeably better
• My body feels less inflamed and achy
• I have more energy throughout the day

Yes, I’ve lost weight, but that’s not my main goal. I’m chasing energy, clarity, and better long term health. I want my labs out of the red. I want my body to feel supported again.

The food also wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected (season accordingly 😂). The cost ended up being far more reasonable than I imagined — about $18/day for 5 fuelings — and I still get to eat a regular meal daily.

I was also nervous about weighing food because it can feel very “diet culture,” but I was relieved to find the portions were actually more generous than I expected. The app has helped a lot too, especially with reminders to eat every few hours and recipe ideas when my ADHD brain gets overwhelmed trying to decide what to make.

I went into this with heavy bias, and I still believe every body and every person is different. But I also believe in being honest when something is helping me.

If you’ve been struggling with inflammation, fatigue, brain fog, blood sugar issues, or simply feeling “off,” and you’re curious about the program, reach out to Sean Wolf. He’s been incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions without pressure.

Sometimes healing starts with being willing to reconsider what we thought we already knew.

I have to present my dissertation in a few weeks and am feeling overwhelmed by it all!

I'm a fist gen college grad and first in my family who will have the official title of Doctora.

As it's the end of the day, I using using my favorite "ear stickers" to calm my frazzled nerves.

Shen Men works by

And Aggression seems rather self explanatory 🤭

10-15min after I put them on, my body started feeling less frazzled and I started taking in deeper, calming breaths. It's been about 3hrs since I recorded this video and my body and brain, feel calm.

If you want to know how I can help you, schedule a free virtual consult, I'll be happy to answer your questions.

I had time for a quick and wobbly video with bad lighting, I might make that my signature 😂

But the point still stands: if lying flat on the treatment table is uncomfortable, we can absolutely set you up in an anti-gravity chair instead.

This can help if you have:
• Postural dizziness
• Back or hip pain
• Mobility issues
• Heavy work boots that are a pain to take off

Seriously — I want you comfortable enough to fully enjoy your acu nap.

The more relaxed your body is, the easier it is for your nervous system to settle and for healing to happen.

I know this video is a little rough and ready… but it gets the point across.

With the weather shifting this week, so many of us caught a cold.

This gua sha technique can help move stagnation, improve circulation, and support your body in clearing cold symptoms a little faster.

It’s simple. It’s effective. And when used properly, it should feel relieving, not aggressive.

Please don’t use this technique if you:
• Have a history of frequent headaches or migraines
• Are on blood thinners
• injury to this area
• Have broken skin, open wounds, or active acne in the area

As always, this is for educational purposes only. If you’re unsure whether it’s right for you, reach out.
I’m happy to guide you.

Stay warm. Take care of your body.

One of my patients was SO EXCITED to get treated for their issue that they wanted to record part of it 🥰

Thank you for the trust! 🙏🏽
