Yoga is so much more than poses on a mat. π§π»ββοΈ πͺ· ποΈ π
One of the lesser-known aspects of yoga is our connection to nature. Through the Niyamas, particularly Santosha (contentment) and Svadhyaya (self-study), we are invited to slow down, connect with the world around us, and cultivate a deeper awareness of ourselves.
Taking time to step outside, feel the sun on your skin, listen to the birds, or place your bare feet on the earth can be a powerful yoga practice all on its own. This practice of grounding, often called earthing, encourages us to become present, calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and reconnect with what truly matters.
Sometimes the deepest yoga practice isnβt found in a pose. Itβs found in a quiet moment under the open sky, feeling rooted, supported, and at peace.
πΏ When was the last time you kicked off your shoes and connected with the earth beneath your feet?
Rooted in peace, blooming in light. β¨ πͺ· π π£π€
