Poison ivy is natural. So is arsenic. And Iām not putting either one in my morning smoothie. š
Somewhere along the way, weāve been convinced that ānaturalā automatically means safe and āsyntheticā automatically means dangerous.
Neither is true.
And the wellness industry knows exactly how much we love the word ānatural.ā
Hereās what matters more than the label:
šæ Whatās actually in it?
šæ Is there good evidence it works?
šæ What are the potential risks?
šæ Will it interact with medications or supplements youāre already taking?
Iām all for natural approaches when theyāre appropriate. But I want evidence, not a pretty label and a convincing sales pitch.
Now Iām curiousā¦
Have you ever purchased a supplement or wellness product specifically BECAUSE it was advertised as āall naturalā?
And did it live up to the hype?
Tell me in the comments. No judgment. Weāve all fallen for some clever marketing at one point or another. š
