IF YOU YOU WEAR FLIP FLOPS OR HIGH HEELS YOU NEED THIS!

Myofascial Release of Plantar Fascia and Flexor Digitorum Brevis

Show your feet some love, they literally support you through everything you choose to do, so grab a tennis ball, a beer bottle, or a can of corn and keep them healthy. Not to mention it will give you more ankle mobility, reduce stress on the knees, and decrease hip compensation. If that weren't enough this will help avoid bunion and hammer toe formation which are gnarly corrective surgeries involvong pins and screws and metal wedge plates. Keep walking the line... ENJOY.

Technical Jargon:
Calcaneus: Heel Bone
Metatarsals: 5 Bones in foot just behind toes bones
Plantar Fascia: Connective Tissue on bottom of foot
Origin: Tuberacle of Calcaneus
Insertion: Heads of Metatarsals

RUNNING JUMPING and QUAD DOMINANCE.

Happy Sunday, let's take a look at one of the most crucial portions of any running and jumping application, RE**US FEMORIS (RF).

Located on the anterior (front) medial (middle) portion of your thigh. When we sit for long periods of time the RF gets very tight and sticky so that when we stand up it is hard to obtain full hip extension, and limits our ability to get our pelvis underneath us fully. So let's get to work with a Myofascial Release roller and loosen that anterior anchor... Enjoy!

Re**us Femoris:
Origin: Anterior Inferior Iliac Spine (AIIS)
Insertion: Medial Superior Patellar Tendon
Action: Assist in Hip Flexion and Extension of Knee
