Sometimes, the best medicine is a shift in perspective. Here are a few of my favorite quotes to start the week:

“I see menopause as the start of the next fabulous phase of life.” — Kim Cattrall

“One day you will look back and realize all along you were blooming.” — Morgan Harper Nichols

“A study says owning a dog makes you 10 years younger.” — Joan Rivers

A little humor, a little wisdom, and an important reminder: menopause is a new chapter, not the end of your story. My hope is that every woman feels empowered to embrace this season with confidence, prioritize her health, and know that it’s never too late to bloom.

Happy Menopause Monday! Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. 🌸

There’s a lot of excitement around peptides right now, but it’s important to separate hype from evidence.

Here’s what this means for you:

~ Just because something is trending doesn’t mean it’s been proven to be safe or effective.

~ Before starting any injectable treatment, ask:
Has it been studied in humans?
Is it FDA-approved or appropriately regulated?
What are the known risks and benefits?

~ Evidence matters. It’s how we know whether a treatment is truly helping patients—not just making headlines.

If you’re looking for therapies backed by strong clinical research, GLP-1 medications are one example with extensive human data. Many other peptides simply aren’t there yet.

My goal isn’t to tell you what to choose, it’s to help you understand your options so you can make informed decisions with confidence. Reach out if you’re ready to discuss customized care based on your needs!

Last week, I shared a quick overview of a 2025 expert consensus review on menopause hormone therapy after breast cancer and why it’s generating important conversations within menopause care.

Let’s take an even closer look:

✨ This review emphasizes that risk is individualized—factors like cancer type, estrogen receptor status, stage, and time since diagnosis all matter.

✨ Vaginal estrogen and systemic hormone therapy are not the same conversation. Their risks and benefits should be evaluated differently.

✨ The panel’s biggest message? Ask questions. Understanding your personal risk can help you make informed decisions alongside your oncology and menopause care teams.

Research continues to evolve, and so should the conversations around women’s health.

Small changes. Big impact. 💛

If your wellness routine feels impossible to stick with, it might be time to rethink the plan.

Healthy habits don’t have to be all-or-nothing. In fact, the changes that last are often the simplest:

✨ A short walk after a meal
🥗 Adding one more colorful vegetable to your plate
💧 Drinking water before your morning coffee
🤍 Spending time with people who fill your cup

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s creating a lifestyle that feels realistic, sustainable, and enjoyable enough to keep showing up for.

Because the healthiest version of you isn’t built overnight—it’s built one small choice at a time.

What small habit has made the biggest difference in your wellness journey?

Bioidentical hormones: what does that actually mean?

Let’s clear up one of the biggest misconceptions in menopause care.

Here are the key takeaways:

- “Bioidentical” describes the hormone—not the source. It means the hormone is chemically identical to what your body naturally produces.

- There are two main types of bioidentical hormone therapy: FDA-approved products and compounded formulations

- FDA-approved therapies have been studied in large clinical trials for safety, effectiveness, dosing, and potential side effects.

- Compounded hormones may be appropriate when a patient needs a customized dose, formulation, or delivery method that isn’t commercially available.

- It’s not about which is “better.” The best option depends on your symptoms, medical history, and individual needs.

Menopause care isn’t one-size-fits-all. Understanding your options is the first step toward making informed decisions about your health.

Let’s talk about s*x!

Menopause can bring changes to your s*xual health—but that doesn’t mean intimacy or pleasure have to end. Here are a few things to know:

1️⃣ Sexual health is an important part of your overall well-being.

2️⃣ Hormonal changes can affect: libido, vaginal dryness, comfort during s*x, or**sm, s*xual satisfaction.

3️⃣ These changes are common, but they’re not something you have to simply “live with.”

4️⃣ There are evidence-based treatment options available, including hormonal and non-hormonal approaches, depending on your symptoms and goals.

5️⃣ Sexual wellness is personal. The best treatment plan is one that’s tailored to you.

And one more thing... partners matter, too. Open communication, patience, and support can make a meaningful difference during the menopause transition.

You deserve to feel confident, connected, and supported at every stage of life.

As we move through menopause, our body's nutritional needs continue to evolve.

While there's no one-size-fits-all supplement plan, certain nutrients may help support healthy aging, including bone health, muscle strength, heart health, and energy levels.

Some of the nutrients I discuss most often with patients include calcium, vitamin D, vitamin B12, protein, creatine, and omega-3s.

Overall, the goal isn't to just take more supplements, it's to understand what your body needs and create a personalized plan based on your health, lifestyle, and goals.

Small, intentional choices can have a meaningful impact on how you feel today and on your long-term health.

I’m a little mad.

Not because menopause exists—but because too many women are still told to “just push through it.”

For generations, women have been expected to carry on despite poor sleep, brain fog, anxiety, mood changes, hot flashes, and so many other symptoms that can affect their relationships, careers, and overall health.

Resilience is something to celebrate—but it shouldn’t be a requirement for receiving good healthcare.

The good news? You have options.

Menopause hormone therapy (MHT) remains the most effective treatment for many women experiencing menopause symptoms, and there are also non-hormonal and lifestyle approaches that may be appropriate depending on your individual needs.

The first step is having the conversation.

You deserve to understand what’s happening in your body, know your options, and make informed decisions with a provider who listens.

Because women today may spend 30–40 years in menopause. That’s too long to spend suffering in silence.
