Often when we're ill, or suffering a loss of soul through a crisis or depression, the ‘call’ from deep within invites us not to try to ‘fix the problem’ but instead asks us to let go, retreat to our quiet cave, or nest and receive the incubating gift of patient warmth.

Ancient Greek incubation caves where the sick reclined, let go and waited, were seen as places of access to the nurturing depths of soul where warming energy and secretive inner work abound.

To incubate, then, is to surrender to the therapeutic wisdom of Nature that resides deep within our bodies and souls.

It is a phase of ’suspended animation’, when life is gently held, slowed and cocooned in sleep, rest and dreams that may cast light on the nature of the gifts that are embedded in our wounds.

Sacred incubation is this devotional decision to be fully present in our woundedness, instead of struggling to be free.

I love this charm board so much. Clients love it so far. I never even knew about this as a reader until a friend of mine in New Jersey introduced me to it in 2021. Moving around, I lost the original board I had. They are hard to find; I ordered this one in Japan 🇯🇵 🌸🍒. It's definitely a very Jungian sort of style of reading, and I like to layer it with astrology and tarot. I'll give out 3 free mini charm readings to anyone who wants it. The 7 of swords is about sneakiness, deception, and cheating. Can't fool a psychic! The cards will tell us we will dream about it, we will feel it, and always know about any shady tomfoolery 🤣😆😅. The cards never lie.

That is why it's so hard for any of us to read our own cards and be neutral.

Even as a card reader of 20 years, I have others read my cards from time to time when needed.

To be a good reader is to be neutral and not judge. If you pull the 7 of swords or 5 of swords, you can bet your a** something shady is going on in that persons life. Or there is someone in their life that is a snake in the grass. That's just my two cents on the 7 of swords . f
