We believe every spring has something to teach us.

Not just about water, but about presence, patience, reciprocity, and our relationship to the living world. 💧

When arriving to a spring, consider taking a moment to simply be there.

Listen to the sound of the water.

Notice the birds, the moss, the insects, and the trees that call this place home.

Feel the temperature of the spring.

Offer your gratitude.

Take only what you need.

Leave the land better than you found it.

The more time we spend knowing a place, the more naturally we are called to take care of it, honor & protect it. 🌿🤍

Hoping we can help save this spring for the community!
Please take a moment to email the governor planner as to why this wouldn’t be a good idea

Springs give without asking: water, minerals, cooling, cleansing, medicine, beauty, sometimes survival. An offering is a way to balance that exchange. Not payment exactly — more like gratitude with hands and heart.

There are a few reasons people do it:

To honor the spirit of place.
Many traditions see springs as living places, inhabited by ancestors, devas, nāgas, saints, guardians, or the intelligence of the land itself. An offering acknowledges that the place has presence.

To practice reciprocity.
Modern culture often trains us to extract: take the photo, fill the bottle, move on. Offerings interrupt that pattern. They turn consumption into communion.

To ask permission.
Before drinking, bathing, collecting water, or doing ceremony, an offering can be a humble way of saying, “May I be here? May I receive this with respect?”

To bring attention and reverence.
The offering changes the visitor. A flower, prayer, song, coin, grain, incense, or simple silence can make someone slow down enough to actually feel the spring.

To remember water as sacred.
Water is so basic that we forget it is miraculous. Offerings help restore awe. Every civilization lives or dies by its springs. No spring, no village. No aquifer, no future. Pretty real stuff.

The best offering is not always an object. Often it is:

cleaning up trash,
not contaminating the water,
walking softly,
leaving native flowers instead of plastic,
singing or praying,
sharing gratitude,
protecting the watershed,
or making a commitment to defend clean water.

A simple spring offering could be:

“Thank you for this living water. May I receive with humility. May this spring be protected, remembered, and loved. May all beings have access to clean water.”

We’re honored to partner with guiding young men into the wild and back to themselves through wilderness, mentorship, and rites of passage.

Find A Spring supports these journeys by mapping the cold water springs and hot springs along the way, giving these young men the chance to find the earth’s living waters and connect to them in a sacred way. 🏞️

Fresh water has carried life, healing, and meaning since the beginning of time. There is something that shifts in a young man when he steps away from the noise of the world and finds himself standing beside a mountain spring drinking from the earth, feeling its power, and remembering what it means to be alive. 🙏🏼

These are the moments that shape them.

We’re honored to help make them possible.
