Meet our inaugural Class of 2027 Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellows!

Anjali Panackal, DO: Raised in Guilderland, NY, she earned a B.S. in Biology from Siena College and completed medical school at New York Institute of Technology. After a family medicine residency at Ellis Hospital, she worked as a hospitalist at St. Peters, serving her community. In her free time, Anjali enjoys reading, playing piano, and spending time with family.

Christine Murphy, MD: Proudly from Buffalo, NY, she studied Cell Biology/Biochemistry at Bucknell University and engaged in global health service work in Nicaragua. Christine attended Geisinger Commonwealth for medical school and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Rochester. After working as a hospitalist in Albany, she is pursuing a Palliative Care Fellowship at Saratoga Hospital. Outside of medicine, she loves cooking, participating in races (placing 2nd in the 2023 Rochester Triathlon), and exploring the Adirondack Mountains.

Marvin joined Saratoga Hospital's Public Safety department nine years ago, uncertain about his career path but eager to continue his education with the hospital's tuition assistance. While working full-time, he earned an associate degree, followed by a bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration and Business, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree. His hard work led to a transition into Policy & Regulatory Readiness, where he ensures compliance and safety across the hospital. Marvin values the support he received, noting he has no student loans, which has positively impacted his life. He proudly shares his journey and considers Saratoga Hospital a second home, emphasizing the importance of his role in keeping patients and staff safe.

After spending 24 years with another organization, Nicole Phillips wasn’t looking for a new career, but one day, an opportunity at Saratoga Hospital caught her attention. Since joining the Float Pool as a Safety Companion in June 2025, Nicole has found exactly what she was looking for: meaningful work and an incredible team.
