Future Health - A Global Initiative by Abu Dhabi recently released its Future of Longevity whitepaper. The core argument is that longer lives are one of modern medicine’s greatest achievements. But living longer doesn’t always mean living healthier for longer. The gap between lifespan and healthspan is where many of us spend our later years.

It also makes a case I think is correct and underrated, that medicine is shifting from treating disease once it shows up to catching risk years earlier. Their theme this year is “to sense is to predict” with wearables, genomics, and continuous data an important part of the equation to make that possible.

It is a serious read. Link to download in bio.

Save this and send it to someone who is still drinking.

Alcohol is a Group 1 carcinogen. Same list as to***co and asbestos. There is no safe amount, and the red wine study everyone quotes was junk. It compared drinkers to people who had already quit because they were sick.

But look at what we built around it. We bring it to housewarmings. We serve it at weddings, baby showers, and work events. We hand it to the person we love most and call it a celebration.

And the person who says no thanks? They’re the odd one out. They get asked if they’re pregnant, if they’re on antibiotics, if everything is okay. Somehow not drinking the carcinogen is the thing that needs explaining. 😳🙄 make it make sense

Who is no longer drinking?!
