The Jaded Nest

The Jaded Nest I’m Brandi—an intuitive guide, trauma-informed coach, and recovering people-pleaser turned sacred boundary queen.

I guide women out of fight-or-flight and back home to their bodies through nervous-system work, embodiment, and sacred ceremony — so intuition, pleasure, and discernment can come back online. I help sensitive souls, cycle-breakers, and sacred rebels come back home to themselves. My work is rooted in nervous system healing, embodied empowerment, and radical self-remembrance. If you’ve ever felt like you were “too much” or “not enough”—this space is for you.

The 5-Minute Nervous System Reset After a Hard Day

Minute 1: Notice

Place your hand on your heart. Ask: “What is my body trying to tell me?”

Minute 2: Release

Shake your arms, stretch, sigh, move the stuck energy.

Minute 3: Reconnect

Name: 3 things you see

2 things you feel

1 thing your body needs

Minute 4: Reparent

Speak to yourself the way you needed someone to speak to little you.

Minute 5: Choose

Ask: “Am I reacting from my wound or responding from my healed self?”

The first mental health diagnosis I ever received was depression.

And nobody handed me an instruction manual.

Nobody explained my nervous system.

Nobody explained what survival mode does to your brain and body.

Nobody explained that sometimes symptoms are signals.

For so long I thought I needed to fight myself harder…

When what I actually needed was to understand myself deeper.

This week I want to talk about depression differently.

Less: “What’s wrong with me?”

More: “What is my mind + body trying to communicate?”

🖤🌱

One day at a time.

BAD S*X

This topic came up and i thought I'd share this nugget with you guys here🫶

“bad s*x” is rarely a fixed trait. It’s usually unspoken needs, nerves, lack of feedback, or two people not yet synced.

If he checks every other box, the real questions are:
• Is he open to communication?
• Is he curious instead of defensive?
• Does he genuinely care about your pleasure?

Because technique can be learned. Ego can’t.
It’s also important that she knows how to articulate her desires and pleasures. Good s*x is co-created. If you don’t know what you want or feel safe asking for it, that matters too.

If you can talk openly, explore together, and he’s receptive, there’s a lot of room for glow-ups in the bedroom.

If he shuts down, gets weird, or doesn’t care… that’s the real red flag, not the dick game.
You’re not wrong to want good s*x and a good man. Just don’t decide too early which one this is.

Also worth saying, from someone who literally does this work: s*xual connection is learned and co-created. I’m a tantra-based intimacy guide, and I see this all the time. When two people feel safe and curious with each other, things can change a lot.

Tomorrow on Zoom ✨

What if healing didn’t have to feel like homework…
or rehashing your worst memories on a couch forever?

What if healing looked like:

a glow-up

falling back in love with your life

feeling alive in your body again

pleasure without guilt

safety without shrinking

Tomorrow I’m hosting a live Zoom conversation on healing THROUGH the body, not despite it.

We’ll talk about:

why talk therapy alone can stall healing

how the nervous system actually rewires through sensation and presence

why pleasure isn’t a distraction from healing, it’s a teacher

what “multi-orgasmic” really means (hint: it’s not p**n, it’s embodiment)

how coming home to your body changes your standards, confidence, and magnetism

This isn’t a class.
It’s not explicit.
And you don’t need a PhD, a yoga practice, or a spiritual résumé.

Just a body.
And a willingness to listen to it.

If you’ve done enough analyzing and you’re ready to feel alive again…
this space is for you.

🌀 Live Zoom tomorrow noon
🌀 Come as you are
🌀 Cameras optional
🌀 No fixing, no forcing, no bypassing

Healing doesn’t have to hurt forever.
Sometimes it gets to feel good.

DM for link.

EDD involves difficulty processing and regulating emotions internally.

This can result from:

lack of emotional mirroring

neglect or invalidation

trauma during development

Common experiences include:

emotional overwhelm

delayed emotional responses

difficulty naming feelings

intense reactions followed by shutdown

This is not immaturity.
It is unfinished emotional development, not failed development.

Regulation must be taught through:

modeling

safety

repetition
